Hooh! The editor is gonna have Elhuyar Fundazioa's ass for messing up the article with his horrific million/billion blunder. Oh , I would have been so misinformed if the clever Mr. Editor didn't point out that mistake! It's good that he mentioned Elhuyar Fundazioa by name as well. That makes me hate him and his family for that unforgetable blunder.
I am sure if there were life on Mars the States would have sent troops there to free them from their opressive regime and in the process lost about 1459 American Soldiers in the name of saving lives...
Sooo, why do they call it Live distributions instead of just run-straight-off-the-cd-with-no-hassles-distributi ons? BTW: I have a dead disto of win 98.
I used to hunt that fuckers down after they escaped from the secret labs in Cabatu. A lot of mercenaries protect that place , but if you keep to the shadows you can get to them. Just watch out for the big ones with machine-guns. Nice place, but It's a far cry from being in paradise.
Mine is 1+1=3 where the 3rd one is a little small, helpless, stinky meat-popsicle out to ruin your life the bigger it gets. And the 2nd one gets bigger and bigger afterwards, so that it ends up being 1.5 after a while, sometimes even 2 on it's own. The 1st one is left to wither away on it's own so that it actually gets less and less until it just becomes a zero trapped in the daily rat-race of stress, anger and misery trying to support the other two. Maybe I'm just bitter...
This is great news. I've had lots of problems with my digital camera drivers. I would not call them sleepy though, but almost like ina semi-zombie state...
I can see lots of flamewars starting because of this article , but the old rule remains. Use whatever works best for you. My opinion: I believe real men compile everything they want from source. And what Slack doesn't have in the distro, I compile. One thing that I don't understand though: Screenshots is good for a review on the latest X drivers or themes or Windows, but screenshots for a Linux distro? Redundant. Anyway, keep up the good work Slack. Still my favourite after 10 years.
What p*sses me off is that I never get spam on my e-mail account that I use for on-line shopping, registrations etc.. but on my office address I get around 5 to 10 a day! Anyway. my fav is 1@2.com. Nice and quick to type.
I used to buy from Thinkgeek at least once a month. I have so many of their toys already and there's still so much that I want to buy. But unfortunately they don't issue geek points to non-US or Canadian residents. The 1st couple of times they gave me geek points but they pointed it out to me with my last purchase and revoked all my geekpoints.I was unaware! It's very expensive for me to order stuff from the US since I live in South Africa and the redeemable geekpoints just made it a bit more worthwhile. So, unfortunately I have to do my geek shopping somewhere else now.Not sure where yet, because we don't get that kind of stuff around here, so I'll probably have to order from the UK or Australia. I'm still upset about it. Oh, how I wish I had a PC hamster case. *wipes tears from eyes*
Am I the only one thinking about the Futurama "A big piece of garbage" episode? The best way to solve this would be to shoot up another reactor to deflect the falling one...
"If it offers a painless BSD install (the way Knoppix makes it easy to install Debian to a hard drive), this should be a popular project." Dude, If you need Knoppix to be able to install Debian easily on your HD then you need help! If on the other hand you need a live Linux distro to use in emergencies or when a full installation is not viable/ available or required, then rather stick with your Knoppix. The same goes for this. It is great and a lot of BSD fans will be really happy about this, but I pity those that will use it to "easily" install FreeBSD on a HD. IMHO That's just sad... It is meant to be so much more and I think a lot of people don't understand the true functionality and usefullness of a live Linux distro or BSD. Anyway, nice!

OFQ:
Fry: Pine needles. Oh, man, this is great... hey, as long as you don't make me smell Uranus.
Leela: I don't get it.
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: I'm sorry, Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all.
Fry: Oh. What's it called now?
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: Urrectum. Here, let me locate it for you.
Fry: No, no, I, I think I'll just smell around a bit over here.
oh.
Damn! That looks kak!

Bite my non-shiny non-metal ass!
As a nerd I found this to be vital news on stuff that really matters. I'm going to power down my servers now and go and play with pots and wet sand.

I'm nature-loving. That's why I would never support a company that cuts down trees or buys wood to make PC accesories...
