Who cares! GTA VC was not much better than GTA3. Engine still basically the same. Textures changed, different cars and ability to fly helicopters, ride bikes etc. But therein lies the beauty. It's about the storyline, the different feel. Yes, it was a major bonus to have a bit more freedom and that's what I think they will probably improve in GTA: SanAn but I still enjoy playing GTA3 every now and then even though I clocked both.Small differences and a different timeline and improvement in the AI will make this one even better although probably not much different visually from the others. I've been a GTA fan from the first one and the only one that dissapointed me was GTA2. I for one cannot wait to get my hands on this one!
Maybe it's just my imagination, but I always remember it being very dark in those text adventure games. Most of the time I couldn't really see what was going on...
When all my friends got a brand new Soundblaster Deluxe V.1 (with Dr. Sbaitso!) when they first came out, I had to make do with my little hand-made Parralel port IO jobbie. Got the plans off BBS's and was cheap to make. Can't remember the exact name but it was widely supported in games back then and worked perfectly with ScreamTracker! Sweet hack...
Yep, clearly you haven't tried Slackware recently. I've tried so many distro's (of which Mandrake used to be my favourite) but they all tend to make it either as easy as possible (Deadrat,Mandrake etc..) or they tell you what you want and how you want it or they give you so much freedom (gentoo) that the endless possiblities might confuse some people or it might not work that well in a non-networked environment. I still believe it's a matter of choice and I will never dis anyone for using a certain distro. We're all GNU brothers after all... But Slackware IMHO really stayed true to what it used to be all about and I still prefer building my system the way I want it and if it takes me a week to get my X and sound to work properly then so be it, but the enjoyment of doing it myself rocks my world.I can understand that people are fond of gentoo. I tried it as well, but with limited access behind the firewall at work it gave me lots of headaches..:-( Slack will probably never be the biggest or fastest growing distro either, but it will always have its followers.
I don't know. Maybe it's just me but I like the way robots look. The mechanical movements and crude metal just make them look so cool and they should not try to make robots to imitate humans bt rather make robots to be the best robot for the job it is designed to do. I've always wondered why the robots in terminator had to have metal skulls like humans except for easthetic value. Why would you want to pull a rubber mask over a work of art to try and make it look more acceptable to a human? And someone will probably complain about the colour of the skins on them regardless of what the colour is...
I say if some rich fscker can afford to buy a 959, afford to crash one and can find the space or place to do 215 mph then let the fscker die if he wants to. It's simple.
I really expected more. I went through all the trouble of RTFA and that's it? One page? With a bunch of stupid complaints and she haven't even heard of 3G. And the guy in the picture will burn his ass off with that jetpack. This link sucks.
Proper holographic displays where the device will sit on your coffee-table or hang from your ceiling and the image will float in the middle of your oom and replace TV as we know it. That would be cool. At least we can be sure of some things. Suppose we're gonna see lots of crappy flying car jokes here on/. and russia jokes.Oh crap.
Damn! I can't wait to buy this new Improved SCO Unix. It was great 22 years ago, so it must be good in a historical way today. I'm tired of this free Linux stuff with stolen IP. I want to pay as much as possible and change ALL myh Linux servers to the new competition without comparing performance and reliability.
The article's in German, but the pictures speak for themselves. Sorry, dude. I don't understand german pictures either. Anyway, that's one big-ass heatsink. The think is.With a chassis like that , you'll probably end up just spreading the heat through your entire case instead of directing heat away from CPU, HD etc. I don't mind the noise. I'll keep my fans thank you.
> and even tell the difference between your drink, napkin, cards, chips, and ashtrays.
And I used to make quite a bundle by slipping in a ashtray or a drink into my cards and getting a full house and then blaming my napkin-looking wife for it...
Scientists have found out that the reason that the redwoods are dying is because of a lot of sensors being fitted to the trees and radio traffic networks between them. This has been confirmed by sensors and radio networks between them.
This black on black voilence is terrible. Anyway, I'm really feeling lonely here on/. So few people, so few comments. It's so quiet and civilized. There must be a lof of loud, geeky americans sitting in the dark thinking about/.
Do you Americas have power yet? The comments are getting less and less. Or maybe it's because the stories are getting more boring... I mean. It's been a battle to get open source accepted everywhere. Not just some part of soem state on some continent somewhere.

They told me that my box can withstand a slashdotting over my cool broadband connection...
Guess they were wrong on that one too.
Oh the humanity! :P
Can't wait to see the Russia jokes coming...
Mickey Mouse wins all the fscking way... :P
I thought it was Kitty Money Sodas.
Ok, This is the last time I reply while under the influence... *sad*
Damn! I can see it already...
My boss asking me to change the batteries in his mouse every day.

Oh, handy! Like in converting from stones or something...
Am I the only one not giving a shit about Longhorn being delayed?
I also use my index finger at the office and my middle-finger at home most of the time.

Hey! That's SCO code!
It looks a lot like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Oh. God. I hope it's not.
Even a quick zoom in Gimp could not clarify it.
