I said Netscape, not Mozilla... which in itself brings up a very interesting point... both of the latest version of Netscape and Mozilla use the same Gecko rendering engine, do they not? So why does Mozilla render my styles perfectly but Netscape doesn't? I'll tell ya why.. Cause Netscape sucks!
I would think making the current browser 100% standards compliant, HTML 4.01 at least, would be a much higher priority than adding useless new features. If I wanted tabbed browsing I'd use Opera. What a crappy feature.

Why not just use Ximian's RedCarpet? It doesn't require any stupid registration, and you get all of the patches the distro maker releases. Ximian rocks.. RedCarpet rocks.. up2date.. pfffft!

A couple of years back you would only hear the occasional "Yay! Someone is switching to Linux" story. I hear about it 2 and 3 times a week here lately. Banks, Schools, Aunt Sally, etc... I removed win98 and replaced it with the latest Mandrake on a friend's laptop just this weekend.
Microsoft is just a phase society is going through, sorta like puberty. We'll grow out of it eventually...:)
Oracle sucks... MySQL is great if you want speed, and Postgres is swell if your into alot of features. Why pay when you can get it for free? I never did understand people who think value has to cost...

I run Ximian Gnome on a P133/w 64 mbs of ram, and next to blackbox it's my favorite wm for a low-end machine. And this particular box also runs, ipchains, portsentry, ftp, apache, and mysql, while I torture the swap space with an X server. The power of the grsecurity patch, yeah!
You guys must be doing something wrong... I play my mp3s on a P1 133/w 32 mbs of ram... got my whole 13 gig collection on there. Never skips whatsoever. I can even play them through samba across the network, no skipping or anything.
Exactly my point, we don't need any more "new and interesting" ideas for gui file managers. There are plenty of file managers out there already, just stick to making those work better and you'll be plenty busy.
