The car belonged to the government, which is all of us, including the car thief. How, may I ask, can you steal from yourself. This is what he was doing. Only taking property that he already owned.

Case dismissed, defendant set free with an apology from the police.
I've noticed that people even brag about getting the service plans. Financially you are better off not getting the plans and just paying for whatever repairs as you go along. Consumer reports says this and I believe it. The plans are offered to make a profit for the provider.
...back in the 80's that Apples big mistake was not porting the Mac OS to x86 hardware. What they had then was so much better than Windows (still is). MS would not have stood a chance. Now that OS-X is a Unix OS, it seems like this would be very easy to do. MS is in a much better position, but in time, Apple would gain market share and MS would lose.
It's very difficult to preach to confirmed thieves, they want to think that because no one is hurt directly by copying software or other copyrighted materials that it is OK for them to do so. But the truth is quite different. They demean their own character and integrity. Honiesty is always the best policy.

Seems to me that RMS has started the whole free software movement, in addition to making numerous contributions. I don't see how it would be easy to dismiss anything he says, he is the fount of this whole movement.
The Free Software movement is about sharing your efforts with others because it the right thing to do. The DMCA is a result of those who illegally infringed the rights of copyright holders. These are opposite ends of the spectrum. Those who believe that copying protected media is a reasonable thing to do should instead start creating their own art and give it to humanity via copyleft and stop stealing copyrighted artists works.
If it does not belong to you, don't take it. An no, I am not trolling, I just happen to believe in honesty
Yer blowin smoke up my ass now, but its OK because when I rip off the life savings of your 85 year old grandmother by selling her phony gold stock, I'm gonna tell the judge that it was not a crime because the deal was in 'phone space' and the laws of the land do not apply. He'll say, "Well yeah, but you was in Wicheta and she was in Miami and a thin little copper wire connected both of youse". I'll say, "Yeah, just like the internet!
Case closed, cyberspace is in your mind and your mind is up shit creek.
Methinks you got it backward, Jack. When someone drives drunk they infringe on our rights. If we allow people to drive drunk then it is us that deserve neither liberty or safety.
Maybe, but since the disk rotates in the oposite direction and all the crud previously caught in the dust filter gets redeposited on the disk and increases the chance of failure, that saving can come at a high price. Not to mention that the 2nd side may have been screwed up in manufacture and what could have been double sided was made single sided because of quality.
No, this is BS.

IBM invented the Winchester drive. This is kind of like GM not making the Oldsmobile anymore.
Such as shame, despite how much the Deskstar sucked. I got one, I know.

When we have COBOL, the only language you would ever need to know.
Identifcation Division.
Environment Division.
Data Division.
Working-Storage Section.
01 TheOnlyLanguageYoullEverNeed pic x(30) value spaces.
01 ArgumentSettled pic x(01).
Procedure Division.
Move 'COBOL' to TheOnlyLanguageYoullEverNeed
Move 'Y' to ArgumentSettled.

Actually, I've made a little money by taking my wrecked car to a high-baller for the estimate and getting it fixed by a low-baller.
