I believe that a trustee model would help solve some of the current issues with our electoral systems.
That is you select the representative who you feel will make the best choices. In theory this person who you've trusted, or delegated the responsibility of voting on issue-x will ensure that they have the complete and accurate information needed to reach a decision...because its their job.
The voters as their bosses must then be able to review their performance, and take corrective actions / "fire" them if so required.
Amazon has some of the WORST customer service people I have ever dealt with. Due to inability to successfully deliver multiple orders, resulting in me wasting hours of my time talking with someone from the Indian subcontinent. And they still couldn't fix the problems...their solution is to offer me $5 off my next purchase. Well fuck them!
If you want to see a company with real customer service I highly recommend USAA (Banking, insurance, etc.) They are truly a pleasure to do business with.

Actually it seems to be missing a native way to do hotlink/deeplink blocking, blocking of for instance known bad referrers or user-agents.
There are several 3rd party plugins that accomplish these tasks, some of which apparently have Microsoft's blessings. But it rather annoys me that it seems the missed this very simple task in their rewrite of IIS7.
Where as Apache as I understand it (I've never really been responsible for an Apache Backend that wasn't integrated into some other application) has had these features implemented by way of configuration files / regular expressions for years.
It's like polar bears going to a new iceburg when they realize the one they're on is about to rollover. Some polar bears are going to have a shitty time making the swim to the new iceburg, but the quicker everyone gets over there it better. WTF???
# Zombie basketball -Satchel charge, trying to explode zombies into nets.
# Watermelon skeet shooting - Watermelons loaded up into an ejector, tossed into the air to be shot.
These remind me of a map I made years ago for the HL1 community project called 'The Spirit of Half-Life'.
The map had a number of different 'sport' type activities, including a basketball and skeetshooting games using snarks. Heck I even made it keep score correctly...Ahhh those were the days...

Drinking copius amounts of beer seems to be more or less a required part of the games around here anyway.
I am a Mainer, and was previously working for a company where I was able to personally support approximately 350 Wyse terminals using Citrix.
Terminal Systems are a godsend from a support perspective.
Should it?

I would agree that adding Actor, Director, Art director...grip...whatever is likely to be the "next big thing" in making movie picks more accurate.
Uhm, the dune movies aren't remakes.
Each one is based off a different one of the first 3 books.
Dune = Dune
Dune2000 = Dune Messiah
Children of Dune = Children of Dune
I'd also just like toss a nod to Jedi Knight I and II for being the only First Person Shooters that I know of that were fun to play with a joystick.
Well we could always align the Constitution with god's law as Huckabee wants to do.

Both the Crusader games, No Remorse and No Regret had awesome soundtracks.
Uhm, yeah so Majesty. Anyone seen anything like it since?
I've been playing games at http://www.kongregate.com/ lately. Most of the ones mentioned in TFA are online there.
You might like this then. I found it linked in another /. discussion a while ago.

You sir, deserve a cookie.
No imagination required, its pretty much spelled right out for you in Dale Brown's "Storming Heaven" and that was published in 1994
Here is my question.
How much do their parents make?
In other words did these children have oppertunities available to them that are not available to the average child?
My gut feeling is that they did.
Or just skip right to the final page...
Please refrain from creating black holes until I have left the solar system...
Uhm...thanks.
