    Not sure they should produce more noise about that. Some countries didn't even sell the N7 yet (like France).

    Upgraded a server, laptop and desktop from 14.04 to 16.04. Had to rewrite one _specific_ upstart to systemd, and it took 10 minutes. Systemd is transparent. Besides, many kernel and database (and GUI for desktop/laptop) upgrades are worth the update.

    Depends. If it's a server, keep LTS. If it's on your laptop, jump to 16.10. There are always nice additions to the GUI between LTSes (like wifi support, applications,... and kernel upgrade that adds hardware support.)

    It will be very interesting to see the outcome of a lawsuit seeking billions yens, mainly arranged by foreign institutions, targeting a big Japanese corporation in a Japanese courtroom.

That's nice, but purchasing an expensive laptop with only this addition would disappoint - the next MB is expected to improve significantly battery life and performance, unlike the current model compared to its predecessor ; and be cheaper... but "cheap" does not belong to any of Apple dictionaries, so I wouldn't expect a revolution in the price department.
