    I didn't think of Digg nor Reddit really in the same was as I looked at Delicious. Delicious was where I'd shove articles and the like which I found interesting, but wouldn't revisit often enough to warrant space on my browser's bookmark bar.

    Digg and Reddit were places for 'news' and such. You'd put things you'd suspect others would like, as opposed to say, bookmarking the javadoc to a plugin API, or a deal on a particular gadget you've been looking at. I didn't think of those two as a bookmarking service.

    The inputs taken from each source are unven, and yet he's comparing them by percentages of the whole. If I were to make a study of 4 men and 2 women taking a test, and then complain that 66% of errors made by all of them were by men, then that would be misleading.

    You either not have been to a University, were incredibly unfortunate in your professors, or are a classic example of 'sour grapes.'

    Nearly all of the professors in my field of study became professors after having worked and pioneered in their respective fields of expertise. While they may not all be the most engaging of lecturers, it's awe-inducing to hear them talk about their own work and hear the passion that it brought to them.

    Would such a University give out degrees? I'm not sure such a thing would hold much clout. I would have to stoop to actually getting to know a potential hire from this university rather than stare at their GPA and 'work' experience!

    But suppose he didn't use a chain, but instead some other form of protection? It's still secured, just not with a chain.

    If he secures his network with something other than a traditional password, it's still secured. Just not password protected, which is what I think the parent did.

    Even then, calling this spying is rather like complaining when someone you let into your room remembers something you blared at them with a megaphone. It's not like you whispered "don't tell this to anyone else."

    If you're sending a private message to this person with vital information, then chances are he's already 'spying' on you in other ways, like in person. Or you're an idiot.

    I can't help but feel like proofs that 1 = .999... are along the same lines as that joke proof that tries to prove all numbers are the same. I know these proofs are much more legitimate, but my intuition, in the back of my mind, screams "bullshit!" despite me knowing better.
