I'm nto going to read the article. This is just another tree hugger trying to prove global warming is caused by people by showing it has been done before. I'm fine with being modded down.
I'm sure a single 2TB SATA hard drive is cheaper than the cassette and I know a cheap eSATA dock will be cheaper than ODA system. If you're worried about water, put the drive in a ziploc bag before transporting.
on that specific bug tracker thread. Just because 99% of the people replying in THAT thread doesn't mean that 99% of all chrome users support that position.
Personally, I love the tabs being on top because that is where I think they belong. Everything under the tab belongs under the tab. The address bar, navigation buttons, print button, actual web page, and everything else belongs to that specific page and should be under a tab. If the tabs are on the bottom then the tab's container holds the address bar, navigation buttons, print button and everything EXCEPT the actual web page. Silly.
Tabs belong on the top. Now, I wouldn't care if google made an option to allow the user to move the tabs to the bottom.
But to whine about google's "arrogance" by not doing what you want them to do shows real arrogance.
Thunderbolt was just released a few months ago. USB3 has been out for almost 2 years and it is finally starting to get a little traction in the marketplace. Something else to keep in mind is that Thunderbolt is Intel tech, not Apple. Intel is pushing Thunderbolt so Thunderbolt will be on 95% of mobos in a couple years. Since Thunderbolt is Intel tech, Microsoft will support it as well. Don't discount how much damage was done to FW by shitty MS firewire drivers that barely worked. Intel, Microsoft, and Apple will all be pushing Thunderbolt to succeed.
One last thing, look for video card manufacturers to be pushing TB as well to get rid of DL DVI,DVI, and VGA cables.
Very powerful magnets in the drives. Open them up, take out the magnets, and throw away the drives. If you are really paranoid, pop the discs out. But definitely salvage the magnets. They come in handy.
"Iâ(TM)d also like to note that modern speakers arenâ(TM)t big enough!"
That's the truth. Sound is nothing but changes in air pressure and small speaker simply can not move enough air. I'm completely baffled how the 4" subwoofer was accepted by the public.
"Will Apple make it even easier for people to buy their music from a service other than iTMS? Why on Earth would that want to do that?"
I've got 90 Gigs of music that I manage with iTunes and transfer among an iPhone and a nano and NONE of it has been purchased on iTunes. I have bought a couple dozen audio books fr om audible and a couple of digital CDs from Amazon.
This whole "iTunes is locked into Apple" is still bullshit.
"What responsibility or culpability does the bar owner / bar tender have if someone leaves their bar totally drunk and kills someone on their way home? "
The bar owner has money, assets, property, and a business that can be seized if sued. Usually the drunk doesn't.
I don't. Matinee prices for me or I wait for the DVD.
I won't pay $70 for a game either. I got burned by immediately paying $50 for the unplayable Splinter Cell Double Agent PC game and I swore off paying those prices. Saved me another $50 when Wolfenstein turned out to be sucky as well but for different reasons.
On the other hand, I paid $20 for Killing Floor and I've put hundreds of hours into that game unfortunately. I'll get Left4Dead when it hits $20 as well.
You suckers keep paying $50 and $60 for games and the prices will only go higher.
not ex-Marine
and the over/under of future food overlords jokes at 12.
I said. Fuck 'em. Corrupt organization run and used by tyrants. Fuck them.
That's it. No other reason. People don't want to speak with someone they can't understand and text doesn't have an accent.
God awful ugly interface
The previous game did not allow the buyer to edit the keys. Incredibly stupid. Not everyone uses WASD.
They are following the Dvorak method for generating page views. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOHzHVF-4Mg Don't fall for it.
no other choice. Save a ton of money and get great warranties

and FreeDESQview as well.
I don't condone piracy but I can understand it.
No way to make any meaningful changes within 5 years. IEA screwed up by crying wolf with a doomsday that was too early.

Shame that 90% of his family are money grubbing whores.

Keeping flash off my iPhone was a great decision by Jobs.
But no one cares as long as their newest toy is affordable.
Just be grateful no one is losing a limb folding promotional materials.

"iPhone gets all the hype, and indeed it's doing quite well for itself, but it's only selling 2/3 as many units as RIM (though catching up)"
How is it selling "2/3 as many units" yet "catching up?"
Yes, I may be the only one using Delphi, but my apps are self-contained and they run correctly every time.
