    Seems to me that they would have had some exposure to different ideas and evidence growing up to convince them that that way of thinking is correct. All cultures justify their own beliefs. These scientists ignore this part and just think of them as having brown or green eyes as they go into the tests.

    Science is one of those cultures too.

    Is there a third side? Neither of the two sides I see are just black or white. They both have had varying grays at different points.

    In the final analysis, it will raise the school taxes (by requiring issue of a new bond) levied on all citizens, in order to pay out to the parents whose children attend. As such, it will be yet ANOTHER transfer of wealth from non-parents to parents.

    I don't know how it would work there but here all bonds for the schools have to be voted on. So that would never pass as a way to pay it off.

    If you want to use a service, you have to play by that service's rules. Don't like the rules, don't use the service.

    XBL and Blizzard are services. If I hack I can cheat and degrade the experiences of others. The iPhone is a device. It's mine. No one else should care what I do with it.

    But the App Store is a service. The device is yours but you play by their rules to use the services for it.
