Can I press command + option with one finger only? I hope so.
I didn't even think about it, but I press command + option with only one finger too. But the only function I can think of off hand also includes the Escape key. Do we really use Force Quit Application that much in OS X?
I guess one could always create a gesture for Force Quit Application. Maybe a circle with a line through it?
If it were up to me, Star Trek XI will be about Moriarty escaping the simulation. It has the makings of "The Wrath of Moriarty."
The back story is that he figures out fairly quickly that he was tricked because the holo-matrix isn't perfect enough. So he has all this time to plot his escape.
That escape would have something to do with Barkley checking up on him. Moriarty would have a trigger that would trap Barkley. Eventually, Moriarty would find out about Voyager's Doctor's mobile emitter.
The US owns 70 percent of current IP addresses. Perhaps IPv6 will solve the problem.
Wouldn't the US still own 70 percent of the current IP addresses with IPv6? Or there abouts? How is this a problem? Actually, I'm surprised it's only 70 percent.
Sometime in the mid-90's he presented the idea of the X-Prize, based on the Orteig prize that inspired Lindberg.
Ok, maybe he is not motivated by profit, but now it seems like a conflict of interest, to me. At the very least, it's like one of those rebate offers.
Remember, Charles Lindberg helped designed and flew the Spirit of St. Louis, but he didn't fund it directly. He also didn't come up with the idea for the prize. And when he won, the prize was donated to Aeronautics research. He collected lots of fame, but even then, he donated everything to his passion.
If Rutan's motivations are the same, I'm all for it. And if they are not, I'm still for it because private space missions are worth it. But it would seem like he used this prize for self gain, in that case.
And I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to sell B(flat), which is really just a repackaged version of A(sharp). Then there's double sharps, and double flats. It just goes on. And don't forget the notes between half steps.
If the core of the CIA is intent on enforcing a guidline like this, I'm moving out of the country. Besides, 100% of all the resumes I get are from foreign job seekers. Forgive this american snob, but do they have rights in this matter?
Chimpanzees share 99.4 percent of functionally important DNA with humans and belong in our genus, Homo, according to a recent genetic study. Scientists analyzed 97 human genes, along with comparable sequences from chimps, gorillas, orangutans and Old World monkeys (a group that includes baboons and macaques).
We've only fully mapped the human genome so far. I bet if we fully mapped the chimp genome, we'd see many many more entries in the diff log than we thought.
I love it how the /. ad that came up was for http://www.tabletpcdeveloper.com/.
Finally, a non-recursive UNIX acronym!

Ok, that's it. I'm a Nerd.
Hey, I already knew I was a Nerd.
Maybe the "female anatomy" should come with the same warning label.
Yeah, too bad. I learned the hard way.
Stars explode in Earth's home galaxy, the Milky Way, only once in a century.
I thought that was common knowledge.

Mine just came a minute ago. I ordered it through LAKS Vienna, before Think Geek had it.
I'm surprised it got here at all. The address had several (more than two) mistakes in it.
Gotta love the US Postal service.

We'll just have to see how this plays out.
1. Build nifty spacecraft for $20,000,000US
2. Maybe win $10,000,000US X-Prize
3. ???
4. Profit!
Trouble with a capital "T" and that rhymes with "P" and that stands for pool!

It'd be interesting to observe the effect that the temperature and vibration of an operating PC would have on the ants.
What's the point. Everyone knows all we really want to do it whip out the old magnifying glass. Hehe.
...just like being the One.
Gawd, can't we go two stories without a Matrix reference? Waiting until November is going to be harder than I thought.

He has to prove that your noise isn't encrypted resumes.
I wonder if that'll work in place of the old "My Dog Ate It" excuse.
I got my confirmation by email within two minutes. We'll see if a watch actually materializes.
...there could be more than one slashdot? Yuck.
No word yet from the Grand Theft Auto team about including a Segway in their next game release.
No word yet from the Paperboy team, either.

Yes, and what do we need color TV's for anyway? We all dream in black and white...right?
Things change. People change. Hair styles change. ... Interest rates fluctuate.
Sure: 1) "Law Talkin' Guy" is a Simpson's reference, 2) it's just a sig, cowboy.
You call those annoyances? I call annoyances, opening a slashdot article and finding five topic icons going down the side of the screen.
287th Rule of Acquisition, "DRM is an opportunity, not a prison."
Proof.
