I have an electric fly squatter at home. A friend of mine always buys crap like on the Wired page, but this squatter is really very handy. Most insects are not immediately killed by it, but they are very easily immobilized so you can kill them at ease and you don't get smudges on the walls.
I wonder when this friend of mine will buy the eyelash washer for his girlfriend.
My father and I only have the firewall that's in the ADSL modem. We use no MS software for browsing and email. We never have any problems with viruses et al. If you are a bit careful you don't need all this Norton and MacAfee stuff.
Because, like I said, your knowledge is valuable, and companies will pay you more for working in an IT department than you can get for work in a computer shop. Besides, the work in a computer shop is not that interesting compared to what's going on in an IT department.
A friend of mine once said, after I told him about some bad experiences with computer salesmen: "If you know anything about computers, you're not going to work in a computer shop." He's right of course; you can make much more money elsewhere if you know anything about computers.
That is exactly what I thought when I read this. This sort of thing has been tried before but so far it never worked for Linux. Let's hope this time people will lower their testosteron levels a bit for the greater cause, because having three major desktop operating systems is way better than the two we have now!
I think a better way to get there is to make it mandatory for every hard- and software vendor to open the specifications, so everybody can use them. If you don't open them, you're not allowed to sell.
Come on people. This remote desktop is just an interface for the OS. Even MS gives their remote desktop away for free. I think it's ridiculous that Apple wants so much money for it.
Three dollars, and I'm cutting me own throat!

Oops, I misread, it's an eyeglasses washer. Maybe there is a market for eyelashed washers though. For girls that cry a lot.

I must say I get much less spam since they picked up some big spammers. Getting those people in jail helps a lot. Anyone else have this experience?
You're right, I proved that again :-)
I did the test, and got 2 out of 8 right. How am I supposed to know wether a site is 'good', just by the looks of it?
That's a different level. Configuring a firewall is comparable to making sure the timing of your valves is OK before you start using your car.
"Screw you Moms and Dads!"
I'd rather screw someone my own age thank you.

Where do you live?
Jeezz, you live in America, `the land of the free?' I live in Holland, and except for point one we have everything you list here. Amazing.
You read TFA? Amazing. There wasn't even a picture of the phone in there so I had no reason to read it.
Wow, I use FF all the time and I didn't even know it could do all that. Fantastic! The best browser is even better than I thought.

Come on, it's a joke. No need to get worked up about it.
You can say what you want about Bush, but not that he hasn't got a sense of humour.

Lazy Asian immigrants.
Nonono. In three or four years Steve will announce one more thing... the iBeam! Instantly travel wherever you want to go.
I saw a guy in a suit killing a lot of people. I have a hard time understanding that people like playing games like this.
That's not funny. That's true!

This is an application that should come bundled with OS X in my opinion.
