This means that their genes will not be interfused beyond that one generation of mule offspring, therefore, there gene pools continue to stay seperate.

I would imagine that with these you would not have to press so hard on to a surface for it to register a keypress, and so therefore you're merely tapping the surface, not drilling your finger into it, which would make RSI worse.

Of course, many people are already use to using the normal keyboard with tactile feedback, so their typing ability would go down.

They would be better classified as the only other race of Homo-sapiens (NB "races" such as Caucasian, Indian, Hispanic, etc. don't really exist because there isn't enough differences in the genetics for such races to exist within the definition of biology.)

Secondly, you're right, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter all that much, but it's still something to be upset about. The X-Men, for many people, aren't merely characters in a great piece of fiction, but also a metaphor for those in humanity who have felt the sting of oppression by fellow human beings.

This comic also shows that oppressed people are still human. Being oppressed does not necessarily provide justification for all actions used to break that oppression. The comic shows the complexity of human nature and its affairs, rather than trying to make clear distinctions between good and evil.

If that's all it is, then I would have to argue that it's actually a Good Thing(TM).

Firstly, I must state that I trust neither the government nor big corporations, because they are both extremes on opposite sides. The government does concern itself with people's welfare and safety, and will spend money on that, but it often doesn't have the intelligence to use it efficiently and properly. Big corporations are very, very good at that, but if drowning children in the sea were legal and profitable, they'd find the most efficient means to do that. They do bring about progress, but without government, there would be little protection from its selfishness and greed. The government's purpose is to protect people from that. If there were no big corporations, we'd still be stuck in the Middle Ages where there wasn't even running water. They are both necessary evils for Western society.

Now that makes me wonder, what about all those tribal societies around the world? I would dare say that most of the people in them are living more luxurious lifestyles than most of us. Very few of them ever actually have to worry about food, because they know their environment so well. Mostly, they just have to worry about the family and friends they have around them. The biggest worry that most of them would have is the encroachment of Western society and culture, which has a tendancy to destroy the environment they depend on so much, which may, in turn, destroy them. They don't have governments, and they don't have big corporations.

Not only that, but they also seem to allow to live within these environments without destroying them. This is something anthropologists have known for some time now. Western biologists often have the bad habit of dismissing these things, particularly if they are tribal, under the misconceived notion that they are "primitive" and could not possibly understand the plants and animals around them, when in fact it's their vast amounts of knowledge of the plants and animals around them that allows them to survive.

Don't you understand how supply and demand work? Once companies realize that people want software for these machines, the software will be written. Sure, some people won't want to wait, and will likely go out and get Windows installed, but for those who are satisfied so far, but still want more, they will stick to these until that software that they want is released.

Consumers aren't always logical. If they were, there would be no need for perfumes, designer clothing, game consoles, etc.

Once the demand is there, the software will come, and people will stick with it. This is how Apple has survived for so long. Customer loyalty is an extremely valuable asset for businesses, and I think that Lindows, Walmart, Microtel, and all the other players involved in these PCs are going to win that.
