"People" have a long tradition of being oppressive cunts.
Every society, religion, race or creed that's had the opportunity has gone ahead and done it. It's human nature - human nature that we should attempt to change as we civilise ourselves - but it's not specifically English behaviour.
So Word is doomed because within a mere 150 years of Cugnot building the first automobile the automobile industry completely swept away horse-based transport from the developed world?

I mean Journey to the Center of the Earth to the Moon and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea in Eighty Days was a great book, but I don't recall that he ever wrote another one.
Given the level of understanding shown on this and other internet forums, I fear that the signal to noise ratio of such an initiative will be so poor that the whole thing will be a massive waste of time.
How many ill-informed and inappropriate "prior art" submissions do the internet masses need to make before patent reviewers just start ignoring them?
Quite funny really, but if they bundled in a decent GUI FTP client (as opposed to the command line ftp.exe or the limited support in IE) they'd be accused of breaking yet another third-party app market with their OS monopoly.
And when they don't bundle one in it's "embarrassing".
Fuck it, karma to burn. A summary of this thread. > "Microsoft did X and that was pretty cool."

The purpose of IT - indeed any technology - is to improve the efficiency of business process so that more things can be achieved, more accurately, by less people.
Throwing your hands up and saying that improvements in IT are costing IT jobs is about as pointless as complaining that tractors and combine harvesters mean there's a relative lack of shovelling jobs available in agriculture these days.
Yeah, Gary McKinnon helped with some of that stuff too. Where did that get him?
Lucas: Well, you know, I try. I try.
Do or do not. There is no try.
I think this a repost from 1995.
Didn't *everyone* stop using newsgroups about then?

Only one man has ever literally beaten up millions of people.
And the jail has never been built that could hold Chuck Norris.

If we have to put up with Alan Green and Colin Murray then we're damn well taking Oscar Wilde as compensation.
And we'll have Van Morrison too while we're at it.
You can keep U2 though. Seriously.

So when Mircosoft do something it's "bastardizing", but when it's Apple (Quicktime) or Real Player then it's "part of browsers"?
Professor Hathaway: Mitch, there's something you need to know. Compared to you, most people have the IQ of a carrot.

Or in the expansion they could just roll a Death Knight, on your faction, on your server, and start at level 55.
I endorse this recommendation.
Douglas Hill is excellent.
All this talk of cleansing gels and sprays is pointless.
No matter what you do it will still be a Mac.

If your current iPhone is so fsking awesome, why are you queueing days for a new one?
Stargate was made two years after The Crying Game, so you must've seen that movie pretty late. It's very difficult to avoid spoilers for that long.
The Crying Game wasn't really a Hollywood film anyway.
