So, say he would win and be a senator. Would he operate entirely open, as his principles of no government secrets? Post all of his government e-mails and transcripts of phone conversations? Have not one professional "secret" or private thought/exchange?
I think it would be an interesting experiment for him -- to try and operate within his role as a senator while trying to maintain full disclosure. I bet he would very quickly want professional privacy in order to carry out his duties (assuming he has any intention of becoming a senator for serious purposes).
I miss the good old days; when police had to give someone a good clubbing with a nightstick! Not all of this new-fangled, electronic weaponry. Just some good old-fashioned bludgeoning.
... Windows 8 is very good and they made some nice improvements... First thing I did was install Start8 to regain Windows 7-style Start menu and bypass Metro screen at login. I think the Windows AppStore is a POS (can't search, WTF) and Metro/Charms are a disaster on a desktop. SP1 will hopefully allow the user to disable Metro and reenable the start menu...
So it's "very good," but you needed to immediately install another app to bypass one of 8's main selling points, the app store sucks, and then Metro/Charms is "a disaster"? I haven't used 8 so I can't say for myself, but your comment saying it is very good but then listing some pretty major drawbacks does not compute for me.
I don't know; "hundreds of people" in a city of 13 million or so isn't a very high percent of the population. There have to be at least a few hundred fanbois in NYC willing to wait in line!!
I suppose that is my point: few criticize having a mailing address as burdensome in order to receive government services or communication, so "most" don't consider it a problem. With more and more people having mobile phone and smart phones, "a lot" to "many" don't consider it a burden and this will only increase over time to where, likely, the majority would not consider it odd or burdensome to have to have a telephone as a required/needed method of accessing a service.
Well, right now a mailing address (aka "a residence") is a de facto standard way of reaching you for government communications, so is a place to live also an unfunded mandate??
Same reason nerds here would hot-rod their PCs or other electronics: the hobbyist does it for passion, not practicality! What these people learn - at their own expense - can inspire and/or educate others.
Agreed. And when one stagnates when your "killer new product" is not going to be out for another 4+ months... it's time to start measuring them for a casket. That timeline is assuming they don't slip again.
How is "Largest 4G Network" when it is 3G (HSPA+) NOT false advertising?? I know that the carriers got the standards bodies to relax the definition of "4G" but it still galls me. The only intent is to deceived consumers! When I bought my HSPA+ Android phone in 2011, they salesman kept calling it a "4G phone" to me (though I know better) however my less-techie relatives have gotten similar devices and when they have seen a Verizon LTE commercial happily tell me "I already have a 4G phone!" *facepalm*
While not illegal, it is at least immoral to call it the largest 4G network.

P.S.
I'm Canadian and nigher for or against Obama. I only mentioned him because I remember reading the news articles discussing his blackberry issue during the last US Presidential election.
Wow... my first read through your "nigher" typo had my mind placing another "g" where your "h" is there and me thinking you were a huge racist! Glad I was wrong.:)

That is, IMHO, **extremely** optimistic! With new Android devices coming out seemingly daily and the new iPhone likely this fall, waiting for Q1 2013 for a new platform is a technological eternity. January is 7 months from now. In 7 months, how much more advanced will Android phones and the "new" iPhone be compared to BB10 devices in development?
This is all assuming they don't miss the Q1 13 deadline, too.
Since I am too lazy to RTFA and since some people here are surely smart in this field, can you answer this: is there a particle BEYOND the Higgs that will be looked for next? That is to say, "we" always think we have found the smallest particle/farthest object/oldest artifact/etc. but then we later realize there is something smaller/farther/older/heavier/etc. Can we expect that to happen here as well?
Pole Position, FTW!!
You Gran Turismo kids today with your "multiple racing circuits"! Fuji, bitches. Just Fuji. Six-speed transmissions? High-Low - that's all the gears you needed, pussies! Elevation changes? Fuck that! 2 dimensions is good enough for us. Realistic crash damage? How about fucking EXPLODING anytime you hit ANYTHING! That game was so awesome, you didn't even get a brake pedal on the upright cabinet because slowing down is for candy asses.
THAT is a racing game!
A casket. Oh, but you could add a Raspberry Pi in there to make it high tech. :)

This is why I use IE 6!! Rock solid.
Since drinking coffee is proving to be so good for oral cancer, I am pioneering a new study: taking coffee rectally to improve rates of colon cancer.
Mendeleev didn't have Slashdot to waste free time that you could... er, *ahem*, HE DID use to make the table.

We will know that we have advanced as a society when the Nobel prizes are covered as in-depth and breathlessly as the Oscars.

If it's a '96 Civic with "mods," the de rigeur for that means a 4ft tall wing, garish paint, and a fart-cannon exhaust.

I don't use rubbers on my phones.
You're likely to catch a tactilely transmitted disease that way!!
All I can read this blackmail claim in is a Dr. Evil voice: "$1 million bitcoins!!!" *pinkie in mouth*
*FBI agents look at each other* Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Yes, or as I recall they will soon. In the last few weeks they announced going back to unlimited "unlimited" data (no caps).

Do you see the word 'storm' in there? I don't.
