What pisses me off is that many Americans vote for Bush because they claim he is consistent with his values and they are against Kerry because he changes his mind. What would you rather have...someone who is consistently an idiot or someone who has the sense to change their opinions based on new information?

Don't minidisc recorders do this already? I have a minidisc recorder/player and I can connect audio in from any source, whether it be a 3.5 mm analog connection or an optical connection and record exactly what is being played. I don't see this technique as anything new other than the fact that you're just inputting the sound into a computer and encoding it as an mp3.

I had to change my filesystem from ReiserFS to ext3fs since ext3fs can actually mark bad blocks unlike ReiserFS. 18. Re:Gravity == Acceleration? on Expert: Mars Astronauts Would Lose Teeth · · Score: 1

I'm quite sure that in order to create artificial gravity the force or acceleration would have to be pointed in a downward direction in reference to where the astronaut was standing. I don't think that by accelerating the ship to 9.8 m/s^2 we will be able to create artificial gravity but just a thrust force or that launching feeling. Something similar to what happens when you accelerate hard in a car. Plus the amount of fuel that would be required would be enormous and highly expensive.

But to answer your question, Gravity that we experience on Earth does equal acceleration but it has to be pointed downward or towards the centre of an object to have the same effect that it does on Earth.

I'm quite sure that UK is a democratic society and with democracy goes the freedom of choice. Well, the government has just removed that from people who use non-Microsoft products. This is the first that I've seen of a country supporting monopolization. In the process they are breaking the foundation of democracy and freedom for the people. This is stupidity. Atleast in Canada most government documents are accessible in many forms, whether they are online, mailed, faxed, etc. Also for the online forms, all that is required is a browser that supports 128 bit SSL encryption, not a Microsoft based one. I hope Canada does not decide to take after its Monarch nation in it's rash decision.
