I mean common, the video clearly shows that for every 3 female scientists theres only ONE Male scientist. I mean common, we all know the glass ceiling for male scientists exists AND they now the have to stereo type that they are all ruggedly hansom males with chiseled jaws? I mean how much more sexist can you get?
On the other hand if we do expect to live past the impending nuclear doomsday, we must bring this ratio up to a more prodigious ratio of 10 to 1. to facilitate the proper breeding rate to bring back that to the present Gross National Product within say, twenty years. And of course the females would all need to be selected on factors from youth, health, sexual fertility, intelligence, and a cross-section of necessary skills....
I can still get to bing.com, yahoo.com, altavista.com, lycos.com, and ask.com. Maybe its not that we are forced to use Google, but that Google has superior products so we choose to use those products.
Ohh nokia you have some of the best april fools jokes around. This is good, i mean you really got me on this one. HAHAHA Ill be talking about this one for years!!
1. Get them reported on spamhaus. 2. Find out their ISP, find their spam policy and file a complaint. Getting their internet service shut off due to spam will get their attention much quicker than an email, phone call, letter, or firebomb.
I fail to see how this affects Nerds. Wheres the technology angle of this story? I mean really i can goto any news site right now and read this... Sure Student loans affect Slashdot readers. Acta might affect Slashdot readers.
But i don't see how this affects technology, and im not really happy with the increase in pure political news creeping in here. If its got a tech angle I dont mind it, but common! Was Gaddafi a tech visionary?
It comes down to distance and the cable type you are running.
First, I never put a crimp connector on a solid core wire. Two things will happen either the crimp will miss the wire or cut the wire. Either way results in a bad connection esp where there is the possibility of vibration or motion. Solid core cable should be terminated to a punchdown, and network jack. Use proper patch cables from there. Second If you do want to make a patch cable, use stranded cabling. When you crimp a stranded cable the tines go threw the strands and make contact with many wires. Its much more vibration and motion resistant. Also if a cable run is > 15ft, drop a network jack. Stranded cabling has higher resistance.
\Cop"y*right\, n. The right of an author or his assignee, under statute, to print and publish his literary or artistic work, exclusively of all other persons. This right may be had in maps, charts, engravings, plays, and musical compositions, as well as in books.
ok Now lets see License...
\Li"cense\ (l[imac]"sens), v. t. [imp. & p. p. Licensed (l[imac]"senst); p. pr. & vb. n. Licensing.] To permit or authorize by license; to give license to.
Hmm, and their paying this guy as a Attorney?
CLUE FOR SCO: THE GPL IS NOT A COPYRIGHT!! It is a license between the author of said works, and user of said works.
And have you ever looked at the gas pump and seen that the gas isnt 1.39 but 1.399? Socking revelations. This is just going to cut the world to peices.
Umm last i knew 180 were not allowed on the network, and as far as linux support, well theres none that i know of, and i've checked many many many atime.... or i'm just blind. post the url of getting a linux hack that gets the main machine on if you gots one, because last i knew they didnt allow "Un-Accelerated" traffic on the network, witch basicly ment that you needed some Gilat software that messed with the packets n crap.
For pure DL speed its awsome, but for browsing its a bit sluggish. pages with lots of graphics tend to be ALOT slower. ping times are on the lowside of 800ms so you better forget about online games. But i have been able to pull 20Mb files down in less than a minute before, although upload speeds are on the side of 20 kbs. A big down side is that the main machine thats hooked up to it has to be a windows machine. I tried the win98 connection sharing and that totaly failed and was forced to buy winproxy, but past that it was fine.
All in all its great for country users that pull large files or want to DL alot, but for casual browsing its not a big winner. JMHO
BTW if you want to buy one let me know, i recently moved and dont need my dish anymore could sell it to you.
I would look to paririe inet for the internet connection, i would also look to the sony viao notebook for the pc, if i remeber these have a built in camera on the top of them, so you could just make a bracket to mount it to the front of bike. if nothing else, get a bike rack that goes over your back tire and put a notebook on that and run a cam up front.
BTW RAGBRI rules, gotta check out the partys at night! now thats what you need the cams for =)
Iowa is hardly flat... But this is a awesome idea. short of getting fiber strait to the farm house, this is a really inxepensive, effective way of getting the internet to those who could probally really USE it. This combined with new startups like e-markets well maybe they can start making money again... Maybe.
What about icann? i was just perusing(woa big word for me) their site and came accross the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy http://www.icann.org/udrp/udrp-policy-24oct99.htm
i think section 3 b. that he could sue icann or have a court petion force the trasfer of the domain to him. as long as he has proof, reciept from the seller, that the seller did infact trasfer the domain to him and therefore should not have been left for public sale.
you could do this still... i'de go with the setup about 2 posts above, and use a program like shoutcast to stream mp3's to different mp3play instances...
I mean common when was the last time you've see the CDC use the work Zombies, Walkers, or in-corporeal brain eaters?

Just tell him if he would truly like it named after himself, he needs to be there, in person, to officially open and dedicate the module.
