    I would love wireless on the Pacific Surfliner between San Diego and Ventura. I usually drive, as it is about an hour faster and the same cost, but if I could get wireless on the Amtrak, I'd be all over it.

    Actually, the Mac users can make a big difference. If one group of people has one mac user, then they're likely to pick the game they all can play, in this case, WoW.

    There's a story out about a billing error where a company kept sending a bill for $0.00. The final solution worked out by the company was to have the guy write a check for $0.00, which was deposited.

    They did contact the State Department. The State Department also could not find contact information for disaster warnings.

    My guess is that now they know who to contact, perhaps even for all countries in the world.

    It is to fix user error, nothing else. It prevents people from accidentally deleting files that they've edited, but allows them to make more.

    Of course it doesn't prevent malicious destruction, but it does cool the jets on rm -fr.

    dB is a logarithmic scale; wouldn't 200dB be like a nuclear weapon going off? 140dB is a gunshot or other sound that can cause physical pain.

    With the FFXI Job system, if you get bored of being a PLD, you can always level BLM or SMN or something for a change of pace... With WoW, you will have to start a new character to do that.

    I'm not sure what those TLAs are, but you can retrain in different professions in WoW if you want to (but you lose the first ones). So if you're a skinner/tailor, and decide to move to mining/blacksmith, you can.

    WTF is the point in that? If there is no penalty for death, you can play pretty damn recklessly knowing you can just hack your way thru, eventually.


    The penalty for death in WoW is much greater than in any game I've ever played - in one way. You have to run back to your corpse. This can take 5-10 minutes depending on how far away from the nearest graveyard you are, and by the time you get there, the beasties have healed. You really learn to not like dying quickly.

    But it would be impossible to keygen, because the only way the keygen could find a key would be because the steam server accepted it, and so they just make the steam server drop an IP after 5 incorrect keys.

    Most keygens work by taking the code from the program that checks the serial number, and running numbers through it. If this can't be done, then the keygen cannot work.
