I found that in a recent revision Gaim doesn't allow me to shrink horizontaly and is stopped based on the option buttons on the bottom of the window. In earlier versions these buttons would overlap to allow the resizing. The white space IS a problem which is unecessary for 99.99% of the time.
There will be DVDs. The 6 DVD set of Star Wars, the cartoons from in between Episodes 2 and 3. There may even be a Blu-Ray format DVD, or a 4K version to show at theatres with convenient re-release of the trilogy. He could drop 7-9 on us and re-release it all again.
Basically Lucas was pressured by market forces and not piracy concerns.
I mean all the work has been done digitising all his films, and that is the hardest part. Lucas just has to sit back with his film source and laugh it some more to the bank.
He still follows the "make it up as I go along" mentality in the new films. Just watch the documentaries on the Episode 2 DVD to see proof. Lucas would walk in and say he would like it some way, the animation staff do it that way, then he comments again. Even the bad guys are a crap shoot of drawings tacked on a large cork board for Lucas to point at and say he likes.
What about in the situation I have where I have to use my ISP SMTP server to send ALL the mail I wish to send since they disallow access to port 25 for all servers other than their mail server (ie send a person@yahoo.com email through my isp.com SMTP server)? Since I'm tied to this scheme, apart from using a web interface, will SPF work in this situation?
I use Firefox 0.8 as my browser, and surprisingly when I clicked on the link to the Netscape Beta Browser download link (on second page of wired article) Firefox crashed. Ahh the joys of beta software.
I know that the university lawyers are actively searching out if he had talked about the fact he plagarised, and he knew it was wrong, anywhere prior to the event of getting caught. His whole arguement hinges on the fact he didn't see that his plagarism wasn't a problem if he didn't get caught.
Also the fact that his signed onto a school with a contract of rules, even if was ignorant to the fact there were rules.
Here's some steps: 1. Get all the sources I listed on my original post 2. Compile and install libgcrypt-1.1.43 3. Compile and install libpgp-error-0.5 4. Compile and install opencdk-0.5.1. This requires to change some function calls in the source. I'll list the files and the functions to change.
5. Compile and install GNUTls-0.9.90 6. Compile and install Gaim-0.71 7. Run gaim with a debug window when connecting to MSN and see if the handshake works. It should
I hope that helps you and everyone having a problem building from sources.
Actually it wasn't the Gaim code I had to change, it was OpenCDK, since GNUTls was having a problem compiling without it. When you try and compile the OpenCDK code you will see the problem with specific functions complaining of a wrong number of parameters. The functions are from the libgcrypt-1.1.43 interface and are: gcry_mpi_scan and gcry_mpi_print in the majority of changes. I'll alert the OpenCDK maintainer due to the change in the libgcrypt interface.
In order to compile Gaim 0.71 and greater the best library to install is GNUTls. I compile all my programs from source and got GUNTls to work with the MSN plugin. In order to install GNUTls you need the following libraries: libgcrypt-1.1.43 libpgp-error-0.5 (libgcrypt requires it). opencdk-0.5.1 (This is required for the proper compilation of gnutls, since it doesn't properly check for the --no-opengpg flag in the configure script). gnutls-0.9.90 (This version is reuired for the proper handshaking in the Gaim MSN plugin).
I know that also had to change some of the source code of gaim-0.71 (specifically file plugins/ssl/ssl-gnutls.c), since some of the functions in libgcrypt-1.1.43 had changed the number of parameters. The extra parameter is a size_t of the size of the buffer being passed. The older version of libgcrypt had done a sizeof inside the function, but now require the coder to supply the function with the size. I did this by passing the sizeof of the buffer to the function as a parameter.
The reason I went through all this is because the Gaim plugin would not handshake with GNUTls-0.8.11 because of a capability not being installed for certificate checking, which is found in 0.9.90, but 0.9.90 requires the libgcrypt-0.1.43 library. I am sending this post to the Gaim maintainers to let them know about the extra parameter needed to use the 0.9.90 GNUTls library.
After all this I got the handshaking to work (I checked the debug code for Gaim), and am happily able to log on MSN properly.
Yeah it has USB support, but what about support for all the USB devices out there? That's one thing that peeves me about the linux USB supprt, so many devices aren't supported. I went to go get a scanner and all the ones I wanted weren't supported (namely canon). I can live with that though, and the USB is great to have. No complaints with that.
Anyone else have problems with finding linux compliant USB devices?

Also, the mach number is for the speed of sound on the ground. The mach number lowers as the air thins or increases in temperature. The actual mach number of the skydiver will be low, but if that person were near the ground the mach number would be high (in this case 1.5).
The mach number is basically the dimensionless (no units) ratio of the objects velocity divided by the speed of sound in the fluid that object is travelling in (air is considered a fluid).

It has been done before. It was performed by NASA to test a pressure suit. The guy who did it had a leak as well in the suit, so when he jump part of his body actually froze and he experienced decompression. It was a Guinness Book of World Record jump and the story is found here. Oddly, he did reach over mach 1, but he couldn't tell how fast he was going at all. If I could do it, I would.

I wasn't trying to make a weak argument. When I go to encode something I am using a piece of music that already sounds good as the source, I know the quality is of a certain level. If I were to encode it and then check if it has encoded it closely using a visual process, I would know exactly where the sound quality deviated from the original non-encoded piece of music. That is what this person did. Hearing is not always the best judge. To create interference patterns and such and see tiny defects as compared to the original source, I find that a lot more precise. I don't care how much someone can say they hear a difference, I doubt that they would (albeit on lower bit-rates 128, I can see a point). Even most DVD audio is encoded at 192 and I can't hear a difference, even though a difference is there.

I have a real problem with the DVD portion of these machines. I know that the PS2 and X-Box are primarily for game use, but a lot of my friends have expressed interest in getting them for the DVD movie playback abilities. Being a huge DVD fan I know that one of the biggest features of DVD is Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS sound output. None of these machines even talk of the support of these audio standards. It seems that those who are buying these machines will be out of luck when they try to get the digital sound for their home theatre system. Seeing that both systems specs (X-Box and PS2 ) don't list these standards I really feel sorry for those gamers who wish to get true digital sound from the movies being currently released on DVD. Even the majority of computer packages don't support the standard either.

Is it just me, or was the photo shown on the article the recently unveiled Sony Walkman music device?
Already ahead of you.

I didn't even start one. I looked into it as a method to use Mastercard, but it was just all for them in the end. Not worth my time or money.
What happened to the good old money order or certified cheque. Easier and less hassle, but maybe a $1 more in the end. I think that's worth it.
Anyone remember Dr. Sbaitso? I used to play play around with that for hours. Didn't help me at all.
