The game seems ripe for a port to the new world of accelerated 3D hardware
Forgive me, but I've just got to rant for a moment. Is it just me or does it seem that no one has been able to come up with an original idea for the last 20 years. It seems like I can't go a week without hearing about some game, movie or cartoon being "re-envisioned" by some post-gen-x hack that either: thinks that they genuinely have something to contribute to the meme (but never do), or more often, are purely motivated by a whorish greed to make another pile of cash off of a previously established money-maker.

you've never worked for at&t or one of its indentured servent out-source pits o' hell (but ask me how i really feel about them sometime).
like most major corporations, at&t outsources the majority of its customer service and tech support jobs to (in their words) concentrate on the core business, but which actually translates into "pay the shlubs slave wages whilst we quietly destroy the company through shotty business practices and poor management.
I really don't get the people that are in a huff over this. You've seen from past examples that Microsoft and the OEMS aren't going to honor that EULA, and frankly, more power too them. Its just going to tick people off so much that they either build their own (which is the real solution to this problem) or go with a reseller that wil provide whatever OS you feel like running (there are plenty out there).
however much it takes to sterilize and remove the vocal cords of the lot of them en masse. don't wanna kill em, some twit would just make martyrs out of them.

Microsoft appears to have been keeping the Xbox afloat for some time now despite a less than stellar performance. Does anyone else think that Xbox Live is what they're betting the farm on?
I think you're being a bit short-sighted on the practical applications of a technology like this. Its an old idea (nan-caplets of what amounts to glue that break and form temporary bonds) and functions in much the same way that a broken bone heals itself. so why not "paint" every metal surface, including the engine parts. while this obviously wouldn't work for every mechanical failure, it sure as hell would cut down on the damage done by someone not changing their oil every 3000 miles (which by the way is grossly excessive).

Yeah, the 90's were great, weren't they?
I wish they'd make up their minds on whether or not they're evil. My head hurts.
Sorry, I don't work for terrorist organizations.
i'd prefer a dot in the head than a swastika
methinks (hopes) that this is in fact a laying of the groundwork to add an ogg component to ipod. the firmware is upgradable after all.
did anyone else go all cross-eyed when they thought about the implications of running the turing test with one of these?
Are you hiring? I'll work cheap.
I do believe that the best definition of Libertarian I've ever heard is: Libertarian - an anarchist that wants police protection from they're slaves.
All the cynics are too busy editing Slashdot.

I'll believe it when Sony starts putting an alternate OS on their Vaios.
if they're using radio transmission, then the radio waves are already there, they'd just be utilizing them.
iTunes is pretty much the best all-in-one mp3 there is for any OS. Its main appeal on Mac's though is the integration with the iPod.

you've got to respect the position of government that canada promotes. amongst other things, government exists to protect business from itself.
...demand goes up, price goes down? how does that work?
