So does this mean that the RIAA could go after internet providers? I remember, before the popularity of ITunes, that there were commericials saying you could "Download MP3s up to 20x faster than dialup."
According to that ruling, the ISPs are (or at least were) promoting uses of there products which could be illegal. This is assuming people were using the service to download illegal MP3s.
I definately see your point and agree with you 100%, but what is the motivation for EA to be innovative? Last I checked the 20xx titles were some of the biggest sellers for EA (Mainly Madden, College Football and Soccer). When it comes down to it EA's responsibility is to their shareholders, who want nothing more than to have EA make money. The real shame of this is that EA can start buying any of the developers that are being innovative (or purchase exclusive rights to everything) and thus stifle the market.
The only thing I like about the 20xx titles is that I can go buy a two year old title that still looks nice and plays well for about $15.
Homer: Hey, Flanders, heading for church? Well, I thought I could save you a little time. Ned: Oooh, found a new shortcut. Homer: Better. I was working on a flat tax proposal and I accidentally proved there's no God. [shows Flanders a sheet of paper with complex figuring on it] Ned: [flustered] We'll just see about that. [reads the paper] Uh-oh. Well, maybe he made a mistake. [checks it again] Nope, it's airtight. Can't let this little doozy get out. [uses a lighter to burn the "proof"]
[in the background, Homer puts more copies of his no-God
paper on the windshields of nearby cars]
Well I would bet that a lot of the rich in Detroit got rich on the backs of those deisel trucks. So to them the smell of deisel may be the smell of money.
Myers: Okay, maybe my dad did steal Itchy, but so what? Animation is
built on plagiarism!
[lawyer slaps his forehead]
If it weren't for someone plagiarizing the Honeymooners, we
wouldn't have the Flintstones. If someone hadn't ripped off Sgt.
Bilko, they'd be no Top Cat. Huckleberry Hound, Chief Wiggum,
Yogi Bear? Hah! Andy Griffith, Edward G. Robinson, Art Carney.
Myers: Your honor, you take away our right to steal ideas, where are
they gonna come from? Her? [points at Marge]
Since you said you are new to programming, you might want to consider taking on an OSS game that is already out there and modifying it to suit your purpose. It will help you learn a lot of the basics of programming, but it will also give a great starting point.
If you are dead set on writing an entire game yourself, best of luck to you. Even for an experienced programmer, throwing together a game (or even a demo) in three - four months is a feat.
Of course it is, if they could write a browser that was secure, I would not be forced into using FireFox or Mozilla. So the way I see it, Microsoft makes me use FireFox.
I don't think so, the graphics and such are, but whenever they read the total you always see ken shaking his head in amazement, so I think it is read while they are taping.
I think some people may find it amusing when you take a quote from a movie and use it some sort of context. This quote comes from Enemy of the State.
I don't know how many times I've seen that Abe Simpson quote about 40 rods to the hogshead get modded funny.
Does file management system mean file-system, or the actual names and structures (i.e. folder tree) of the files?
I think they meant Betty from accounting, who left SCO to work for IBM. She used to handle all of their filing processes.
I see you have been pulling TLAs out of your ASS (Acronym Specification Sheet).
I tried this and it seems to be kicking out quite a few duplicate stories. Is that normal?
I heard a rumor that they have Weapons of Natural Destruction in North Korea, so we will probably be invading before the end of the year.
The logo will obviously be the BSD logo.

Obligatory Simpsons Quote:

What about:
President Jenna Bush invades Canada!
Man the IEEE makes everything so hard, this illustration should be good enough:

Yeah, that area is a dead stop for traffic in every direction during rush hour. (I should know, I drive it every day)
You can go from Novi to Detroit in about 15 miles, straight down Grand River.
Well I would bet that a lot of the rich in Detroit got rich on the backs of those deisel trucks. So to them the smell of deisel may be the smell of money.
Reminds me of a simpsons episode:
Myers: Okay, maybe my dad did steal Itchy, but so what? Animation is

What bickering? We all know BSD is dead.
They just crafted it from here:
Dilbert's Mission Statement Generator

But at the beginning of each show the announcer guy says and our "Champion Ken Jennings with a 74 day total of $2,483,383.42"
So as long as one person in the audience can add 1 to the total mentioned at the beginning of the show, I think they can figure it out.
No it would be more like:
"Send him our Account # and PIN to verify it is really is our account."
The E-Terror level has subsequently been lowered to #FFFF00
increased scriptkiddie activity
Does this me we should raise the e-terror alert to orange?
