If he was coming into Canada from the US, then it would Canadian Border Services "interigating" him, would it not? It would not be DHS. So, I am thinking this might be some way to gain attention to his product.
Forgive my ignorance, I am not a frequent flier. Why don't they take side shots? Why only front and back? Wouldn't taking side shots rectify the issue?
yep. Hey, see this market over here? Where we have a bunch of loyal happy customers who champion our products? Let's alienate them all by making sure they can't use any of our new products!
Sure would be nice to check this out, but since I'm a loyal Google Apps customer and have my mail hosted with them, I can't use it easily since I can't have a Google profile.
A portion of the contribution? Exactly how much of my contribution will go towards the ad? Why not all? Call me cynical, but this sounds like a pretty good way to make some money.

ummm. Maybe you should do some research. From: about.com "Cats are equipped with scent glands on their paw pads; on their cheeks; on the top of the head; and of course, the area that causes guardians the most concern: urine." and "When thinking about scent communication, draw an imaginary line that divides your cat in half. The scent glands on the front half could be labeled as the "friendly" pheromones. These are used when a cat is marking familiar territory that she considers the heart of her nest. "
So ya, when a cat rubs their head against you, they usually are marking you as theirs.
They aren't purchasing Windows twice. The licensing they buy is "software assurance" which means they can upgrade the OS's of licenses they have purchased to newer OS's. That is, if they purchased W2K with a machine, they can legally upgrade that machine to XP.
Right, when you do a search in Kazaa you search for stuff you haven't heard of. Oh, wait, if you haven't heard of it, how do you search for it? *? This arguement/justificatation just doesn't cut it.
This is not quite true. A turbonet card is just a network card for your TiVo. You still have a lot of hacking to do to get your guide data to your TiVo, and the turbonet card won't do the hacking for you. I live in Canada, subscribe to a Canadian Cable Company and have an almost fully functional TiVo. I don't have a TurboNet card. If TiVo ever offered their services in Canada, I would be one of the first to sign up. The hacking is a pain in the a$$.
My Dad still has our Star NX1000 (Rainbow) printer. His inkjet blew up the other day, and while it was getting repaired, we hooked it up to XP. Still worked! I think it is about 15 years old!
A coworker recently informed me that kids no longer have to memorize the times tables. They get a card with a matrix on it with all the times tables up to twelve. [shakes head] What is the world coming to?[/shakes head]
How about some sort of engine sattelite that would clamp on to the debris and run it out of orbit into space? The sattelite would just need to start it on it's way an let inertia do the rest.
Finally, a good point!
Let's hope so.
Chances are, if they didn't get/.ed when everyone went to download the patches, they won't get/.ed when everyone goes to read the security advisory. We hope....

Ya, becuase Apple has provided no innovation whatsoever by controlling the whole user experience from hardware to software.

This is an epic fail on Google's part.
You are wrong. You can use SA just like a digital VCR and manually record by time and channel. Many people up in Canada do just that.

IIRC it's Encyclopedia Brown that the WWI story comes from.. Or at least some variation thereof.

Does a Tivo have a 80GB HDD?
Mine has a 120GB.
Can Tivo's HDD upgraded easily using standard components?
Mine is a seagate 120GB 7200RPM drive I bought at ncix.com.
Can Tivo fetch program information via XMLTV?
Mine does. I have to, I'm a Canadian. I fetch with xmltv via zap2it.
That said, if TiVo offered service in Canada, I's be all over it.
Same machine, but differing networks. Gb vs. Mb.
Ya, and what would have happened if Ford decided to no longer use them as a supplier?

There are a bunch of Canadians running TiVo's up here. You just have to know where to look...
