    Well again this falls on the user.
    When I Steg an image I encrypt the text first then plant it into the picture.
    Even if you figure out that the image has been Stegged you won't know if you get the
    Method I used to put it in because you can't read it. But all the receiver needs to do is use the correct decoding in Steg and then un encrypt the images. You may be able to tell there is something in the picture but reading it is another matter.

    A yes they can tell I work for one of the Big 5
    They really do have the trucks. And it is easy to tell if you have done it. The gov mandates no/very little signal leakage and their is huge fines if you don't comply.

    How about making that relying only on security patching?
    We have all complained about users not patching their windows boxes enough so I would say that patching is mandatory. Of course relying on only one security forum is begging for problems no matter what it is. Only layering the defenses on do you really have a good chance of stopping an attacker or at least knowing how he got in. As long as we are talking about security here does anyone have a favorite remote logging software? It seems that this is gettting more important lately..

    If it is true it would be a felony.
    Failure to report a felony to the police IS also a felony. The police reports are a matter of public record. No reports=No crime and SCO is lying through their teeth again. Get that one to Forbes or something and watch the stock price got flush...

    The only problem is getting the funding to do so

    Ok I am going to assume you are not trolling here but....I think if you looked into it you will see you need to blame the people that establish NASA's budget. How else would you justify a 50% budget reduction with out reducing the organizational goals?
    Don't like what NASA has accomplished lately? Send them votes or money. They are all ready dumpster diving for parts.

    Accually mine just uses his laptop. And I just run a lighter adapter cord to his seat in the back. He seems to enjoy watching his cartoons on that. But unless your /child/process/ has a laptop I can't see buying one JUST for in car entertainment. but a flip down screen like many auto makers have as an option would work fine.

    Let me guess....You don't have kids?
    As someone who has kids and has to do lots of driving it is much easyier on him (and me) if he can zone out with some cartoons or the discovery channel. I will aggree that anyone who watches TV and drives should loose their license. But I would apply that to computing and driving as well.

    You can't worry about getting a blade between the shoulder blades first. And office politics being what they are. And the general clueless ness of most geeks it is a really good idea to generate a good solid paper trail. That alone would make the book a good idea.

    None that I know of. But I don't know of any VT102 terminals with full GUI's and
    Office suits. It depends on the software they use at work.
    If they are using VT102 terminals I don't think it will encourage them.
    But I don't believe they will. Or do you have some special knowledge of the software that Ford uses? Either way it is a good thing. They use Open Source and Open Source gets another business does use *nix example.

    Just had to chime in here.

    I really don't think that will be as much of an issue. If MS does try to use this the professionals that are using Macs for example will be affected just nix users will. The market is not right for that much control over end user data. It will (in my opinion) give a big push to standardized formats like HTML and such. And it would really hurt MS. There are two good reasons for embrace and extend.... Compatibility with everything and that is what got MS where it is today and controlling your competition. The competition is storming at the gates (pun intended) and if you remove the other .....
    I think this is just the next in a long line of foot bullets since MS almost got smacked by the government.
