It is a nice keyboard. One thing I can't figure. Why... the fuck... did they rearrrange the fucking 6-key group above the arrow keys?!? They started this shit a long time ago on their "Elite" keyboards, and on several occasions, it kept me from buying one.
Logitech MX duo, with normal arrangement for me, thanks.
You can, I've done it. The coolest part of it for me: It's incredible how little matter styrofoam actually consists of. I had the styrofoam from my NES box (this was almost 20 years ago), which was probably 18" x 12" x 6", or there about. There was room in the middle for the console and controllers and stuff, but it was still a good bit of styrofoam. It only took about half a coffee can of gasoline, maybe a pint or so, to dissolve the whole damn thing. The resulting mixture was the consistency of molasses, maybe a little thicker.
It was entertaining for an hour or so. We certainly didn't fill up glass tubes with it. We were much safer when we played with explosive liquids.

Uh, the page says it was last updated more than three years ago. I think he probably has gotten over it.
It's incredible! I got my new battery from the recall, and my Powerbook is faster than ever before! Whether it's software or hardware, Apple just keeps getting better!
I was about to say, "But this is for Palm OS, and this new device runs Linux." I didn't RTFA, but usually that just means you *lack* information not given in the title and summary. As pointed out in other comments, this time, the/. article is just plain fucking wrong: this thing doesn't run Linux at all.
Wow, you're wrong, wrong, wrong. Where should I start?
First, shifting into neutral could result in the engine revving out of control. This is not only highly damaging, but also very dangerous as it can actually cause the engine to throw a piston if you're going at any speed of note.
If you're in a situation where you're out of control, damaging your engine is likely the least of your worries.
Also, have you ever heard of a rev limiter? Most cars made within the last 20 years have them, and they tend to prevent "throwing a piston", whatever that is. Maybe you mean "throw a rod".
The correct course of action is to turn the key to the accessory position. This keeps power going to important systems while also turning off the engine.
What important systems are still on with the key in the accessory position? The radio? The "important" system components you are probably referring to (power steering pump and engine vacuum for brakes) are only working when the engine is running.
I'm glad that the long wait for a Debian release will soon be over.
Proof positive that you have no idea how Debian works. This isn't Windows, or OS X. If you want the release, just go get the damn release whenever you want. You don't have to wait for it to be stable before you do.
You're saying you had issues right after purchase, so does that mean you were having trouble with the factory chips? In any case, what did you replace them with? We have the exact same machine (Rev. A), that's why I'm curious.
It is the whole machine crashing. I have gotten regular freezes, frozen beachball, and multi-lingual gray screen of death.
I bought the machine used, and as far as I know, it's factory RAM in the system. I was going to try buying some new stuff and replacing what's in there.
Yes. Java 5 (Java 1.5.0 (Java2 1.5.0)) runs on Solaris 10 (SunOS 2.10), which also provides the Sun (C) Java (TM) Desktop System, which incidentally, has nothing to do with Java 5 (Java 1.5.0 (Java2 1.5.0)).
Quite a coincidence there, eh? But you couldn't possibly be the guy I bought it from: your spelling and punctuation, while not perfect, is much better than his.:-)
I just bought a Dual 1.8 on eBay a week and a half ago, and the bum took a week to send it out. I just got it last night. Now this news. Nearly the same damn machine is $1499 refurbished, and I paid $300 more than that, and didn't even get Tiger.
Word for the wise: listen to everyone and WAIT when you hear something will be updated soon!
Dell level 1 tech support is what we need for cell phones.
Are you currently a live human being? Do you have ears? Is the phone placed next to your ear? Is the phone powered on? Yes, sir, I know that you are talking to me this very minute on the phone in question, but I have to ask these questions in order to escalate your call. Once again, is the phone powered on?
Speaking as a Nikon D2X owner (the new $5,000 12 Megapixel Nikon DSLR):
...
This whole issue reminds me much of Gillette, the razor company, when their mantra was "sell the razor cheap and the blades at a high price."
In your analogy, is your $5000 camera the razor or the blade? If it's the razor: a) that must be some damn expensive software, and b) I'm in the wrong industry.:-)
You were doing something wrong on the Windows machine. In XP, it's trivial to set up, using SMB or IPP.
Windows 2000, on the other hand, is a little screwy. You have to set up a printer group, then print to the group. Man, it took me days to figure that out.
... unless they have a KVM.

who needs Print Screen?
Anyone who runs bleeding edge Linux or Linux on dodgy hardware. More info here
Scroll lock?
Most home and commercial KVMs I've used default to the Scroll Lock key to switch consoles.
Here's a tip that will save you three bucks worth of primer:
Grab moderately sharp object -- stab eyes out.
This thing is just a dumb idea, plain and simple.
Hang on. The software did EXACTLY what you told it to, and you're bitching? Sounds like you need to refocus the blame.
There are any number of ways you could have prevented that "accident". That you didn't is your fault and your fault alone.

Please, please, someone come out with a Bluetooth GPS receiver and software for this. It's pretty much the only thing tying me to my Windows laptop.

Dick. Come over here and clean taco salad I just spit out upon reading your comment. (No, it's not from Taco Bell.)
Yeah. Because PHP is great at non-web applications.
I got smashed in a '97 metro hard enough to break my front axle and seriously damage the left front of the car
Man, that must have been a pretty big junebug you hit!

In summary: FUCK!
You are, of course, completely correct. However, that doesn't make it any less funny to "us". :-)
It's like they should have a test that you can take, and if you pass, you get an auth code right to level 2 support.
Thanks for the online service request tip, it's good to know.
