...other than the fact that they are talking about http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com, which uses activex controls to search for versions and update your windows system. but you know, that's really a minor point.
if anyone has an idea about a drive that just died on me (Maxtor 4G120J6) i would be much appreciative. Drive spins up, but not recognised by bios. it was working fine, but i came home one day and BAM not recognised. tried in a diff computer, same results. drive alone as master doesnt recognise, and slave w/ my normal config doesnt work. any ideas? i've already filled out the advance RMA form, but i'd sure like to get the data back...
tech support agents are internally monitored. if they do not go thru specific, predefined steps, they can quickly rack up a failed monitoring. the customer saying "this step is unnecessary" doesn't convince the tech, because you'd be amazed at how often the problem is exactly what the customer states is not the problem, or the problem is fixed by one of the "unnecessary" steps. just my experiences here...
the technology you speak of is called DFITIL. 8-) There's a version called IFITIL, which is fibre to the house, then it turns to copper. what was that about an 18000ft limit again? lol
how exactly is blogging dying? from everything i have observed, weblogs (on whatever issue; politics, technology, religion, personal) have been getting more popular. in fact, when america attacked iraq back in march, several "warblogs" carried unbiased information about what was going on. these places got millions of hits per day when conflict broke, and they might have been getting a couple hundred a day before that.
blogging is far from dying;)
also, gibson usually gets rather deep with his entries, more of an insight into his mind than a "OMFG taht chick r0xx0rz:O:O:O"
let's hope that the people old enough to vote in TN can actually make a difference here... a couple hundred people showed up to stop an income tax (god forbid we lower regressive taxes...), so maybe this has a chance of being stopped? i know i'm just being optimistic, but i can't help but think.... lol
ah, but the sun spots are the size of jupiter!
not to mention a -1 Ignorant for grammar mistakes ;)

Avidgamer had this yesterday...
better writeup, too. *shrug*
...because it was an AAC test, not a general compressed audio test.
Is it just me, or from watching the movies did it seem like a rocket launcher just wouldn't fit?
not to pick nits or anything, but in episode two right at the beginning a rocket launcher is used to destroy a ship...
...the original was an anti-war song...
:)

the random spawns are the only thing on your list i have encountered on the PS2 version...
the PS2 version kicks much ass. It was really intended for the console anyway, i think. *shrug*
uh... Mario = Nintendo. not very likely there will be an Xbrick port.
let me be the first to congratulate you on your success ;)
