Same idea, I live in a city in california that produces its own electrical power. So not only do we pay less than Edison, when all the blackouts were happening here a few years back we weren't really affected at all.
Along those lines I was looking for a newgroup provider that provided unlimited downloading. I found and have used http://news.astraweb.com . They have unlimited downloads capped at 2MB/sec for $15 a month.
I have seen that, but I have seen no reviews of it, and no one I ride with uses it...Seems like perhaps just a sham...Have to ask around to see if it's worthwhile.
Now I just need one that will recognize my motorcycle at 2am when no cars are around to tigger the lights for me.
I ride a supersport Yamaha YZF-R6. Weighs about 410 wet and I have problems triggering many stop lights, so much so that I have areas I don't ride when traffic is light because they never turn green for me.
I was lucky enough to get in the alpha for WoW about a year ago. The game at that point was so great, it was amazing thinking it was an alpha. I haven't played it for about 8 months, didn't have time, but I can only imagine how far it has come.
1000 megabits would = about 125 megabytes (1000/8). If you are getting 145 megabits a second that would be about 18 megabytes a second and would be very horrible speeds. If on the other hand you are getting 145 megabytes a second you are doing pretty damn good I think.
"lower energy costs (4 days commuting instead of 5), and 3-day weekends every week ... "
This is assuming everyone stays at home and does nothing...
Hide and wait until someone comes and picks up the mail, then follow them back to their HQ. Then have the thugs/mountain men attack.

This was actually suggested, if something all the viewers of it contributed like $13 an episode they could pay for it themselves.
Funny, I was thinking that same exact thing as I read this article. The only difference is where steam's friends system sucks, Xfire's is awesome.
Take a look at guild wars. No monthly fee. http://www.guildwars.com/ looks like it should be pretty neat.
Or even better, http://extensions.roachfiend.com/index.php#bugmeno t
It automatically inputs the information into the user/pass field for you.
Have tried that, I haven't had too much luck with that.
Have you seen this work? I hadn't heard of that before, so I will certainly give it a try.
I have also heard pressing the starter and flashing the high beams my do it. Those haven't worked for me.

Well, as the article says the Canary device does indeed detect SID/Channel as well as if WEP is enabled.
Roughtly 4.5GB of data, so yes, lets of stuff to download.
Not to flame, but can you estimate how many days/months you had on it?

Dialed the #, big surprise. It's disconnected.
Well, I already have it on my system, as soon as they turn it on, I can start playing.
doesn't appear to work anymore

Ditto. Get the new one, ebay it and go get something else at the very least.
You saw Fight Club, right? Start going to group meetings and start crying and then you will be all set.
