This whole 'interview' seemed very shallow with no detail. The interviewer kept pestering about illegal things which he kept saying "No, don't do that." and I kept saying "Well what would one do then?" Finally at the end he mentions his book with a link to where you can buy it.
The whole idea is to move away from ridiculous contraptions with moving parts that add weight!
It would be cooler if you just closed the lid and BAM there was your screen on the outside of the lid. OLEDs would be good for that. Thinner/lighter so two wouldn't add as much weight as two traditional LCD panels.
Define quality. If you mean stable and get the job done for most people, then I'd say yes. If you mean blazing speed and can run the latest games at a framerate that would melt your face, then no. ATi and nVidia have it covered and Intel is sticking with what they do best, general computer processors.
Also their Linux driver support is top-notch in this area.
I'd have to say Spielberg should be noted for being beyond the 10-year span. Sure maybe his last 10 have not been that notable (as far as being a director), but Jaws to Private Ryan was 22-years filled with great films (minus Hook anyway).
As a purchaser of goods, he's in control of what those that sell things make. As in if he doesn't buy something because he doesn't agree with the price, the seller makes less.
Just because something has a price sticker on it doesn't mean they'll get that.
Has anyone actually bought the book and looked at the insides? Perhaps the folks at Lulu were lazy and swiped preview snapshots, but the contents of the actual book aren't directly plagiarized. Also the summary says "appears to be", as in "I didn't actually buy the book and validate my complaint."
I don't know, the evidence doesn't appear to be enough to support the accusation.
Wiretapping laws anyone? Maybe this state is one where only one party need know about it. Though, if the state can record us in our own homes, how come we can't record them in public (re: lawsuits against people who film cops on duty).
Or perhaps after being one of the only industrialized nations still physically standing after WW2, we were simply lucky to get the status we did. Instead of everything coming tumbling down, perhaps things are merely equalizing. We'll adapt but won't ever have a period like the "good ol' days"(TM) spoiled old people with a chip on their shoulder about the new generation tend to have.
I'm curious how much the iPhone base is actually growing. They keep selling an assload each year, sure, but how many of those are upgrades vs. new sales?
I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad a while back and it came with no disks. I was use to Dells we buy at work which still come with it a CD, so I was surprised this did not.
I contacted them and they were like "Sorry! You are SOL!"
I sent an e-mail to my state AG pointing out that I paid for the software but have no way to reinstall it should something happen. Also I bought the thing with a particular size hard drive and ended up having this restore partition which used up my space. It was a lame deal.
Got a reply from a Lenovo rep a few days later and they sent me a regular retail disk of Windows Vista. Yeah I know, Vista, but that's what they were selling at the time.
I bought an Acer AR1600 (199.99), threw the XBMC Live edition on it, keep the ION driver updated manually and that thing can do 1080p video just fine. With 3D accelerated Flash coming along, I have no doubt it would make a perfectly useful desktop PC for e-mail/web. So sure in fact, I recommended it to a friend when he asked about buying a computer for his 70ish age parents w/o breaking the bank. Threw another 1GB stick in to max it at 2GB and they do just fine (mine has the stock 1GB).
Though they did buy a diff mouse/keyboard since the one that comes with is just plain horrid. If someone at Acer is reading, take that crap out and drop the price 20.

So, what is the point of this article then?

I aimed it at yesterdays posting of this story and here it is, still hanging around!
DUDE NSFW. While thinking Facebook is a bunch of fucks, I figured that was a parody. Color me suprised when I see the dicks, tits and asses.

Was this a fan-film? Because as far I know, there were no sequels to The Matrix.
Some demos units were as thick as plasma or LCDs from the era when they were being shown off as if they still had a future.
That's weird. My wife is a teacher and found a job here. I'm a tech nerd too and found a job. In fact I have an interview for a new one next week.
Yes, you can very easily die getting to work in the weather we've got out here without the protection of a vehicle.
Is someone forcing you to live there?

More simply just a list of all their CEOs? I guess that comment was simply meant to be catty and I'm over thinking it.
Here you go
They make $. Some would argue that's all the culture we're interested these days.
While it doesn't make up for the huge gap difference, your imperial gallon is about 17% larger than the measurement we use in US of A.
Free will is an illusion

They're out to fuck us on both sides of the aisle.

Point #1: Calling it "kidified" Linux makes you look like a shit head.
