A minor rev on the main branch -- maybe. Minor revs to the "experimental, may even blow up your computer" branch DON'T MEAN SHIT. I certainly wouldn't fuck up my system with it.
As somebody replied to the last Troll-ish post relating to kernel 2.5.3: it shows that there's forward progress towards the next stable kernel. So it does in fact mean something. To further reply to your post, nobody asked you to use this kernel. All kernels in the development tree are strictly for testing for the few brave enough, or with the curiosity and time to try it.
If the open source/Linux development holds up on this one, with any luck, there will only be 220 more notices before we see 2.6.0. Yay!
OK, mine parent post here is similar to the FP! with the guy talking about wolves and chickens. We must have submitted at (near) the same time, so:

At my place of business, we develop VB applications (no flames please) that we use internally to control inventory, and to track units that we produce, as well as write test software to well, test our product before it ships. Besides running windows 98/NT/2000, we've decided to start converting our software over to Linux, writing in pure C, and using MySQL for databases. OK, I know this seems OT so far, but my point here is that we are doing all of this to avoid using XP and any other upcoming versions of MS windows. We have decided that we will do our best to make sure that 2000 is the last version of windows that we will ever buy, at least in our department. We've already been using Linux on servers within our department for about a year, using apache to run a simple intranet server, and have samba up doing file and print services. Since some of the brass have found out about our 'secret' of having high availability linux servers, they were intrigued and like the direction we've taken thus far. Hopefully we can avoid XP all together, and write software that can potentially be useful forever, by writing it for an OSS platform.

No Ogg Vorbis support though..ogg's have better compression than mp3's and is OSS. If they get it to work on there, it'd make it even more attractive...

I believe the reason they leave pictures in is to try to make the reader un-aware that there's an ad at both the top and bottom of the article. In other words, make it seem like the ads are just part of the pictures, like in the article.
BTW, FWIW, some people might call you a karma-whore for posting a printer-friendly page link, but i would have done the same thing, since people complained about it being/.'ed already.
I remember when I did a programming assignment a few years back in college, where one of the guys in the group and I did most of the work. We had told the professor that the other two were not keeping up their end of the work, but she was stubborn in not repremanding the slackers. The only reason the other guy (who was doing the work) and I continued to do the assignment and carry the other two slacks was to earn a decent grade for the project. My point in this all, it that working as a team can be a great experience if the professor keeps tabs on the situation and ensures that everyone has done their fair share. Thank you.
OK, I _know_ this will most likely mod me down, but... I use Pico, and I like it just fine. I will admit that I have and still do use Vi from time to time, but for most things, Pico is simple and easy enough for a newbie (like me) to use. Thank you.

Here is some Info on it...
