I don't necessarily disagree with you that what Bush has done is wrong, but I didn't RTFA (hey, this is Slashdot!), so I can't really have an informed opinion.
But I thought I'd point out the "If you beleive X, then you must be crazy" type of fallacy, since you were the one that mentioned Critical Thinking Skills.
And, BTW, I love rhetoric and hyperbole. It's a time honored tradition of debate. Cheers.
Well, it seems you're trying to get the groupthink going here...
Instead of telling us why you think this action is wrong, you've declared that anybody who doesn't think as you do must "have less critical thinking skills than a Jonestown suicide victim."
Reminds me of when the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railroads merged. The new company decided to keep Union Pacific's first name and Southern Pacific's last name...
Hmmm... If the GPL is all about "programs" and their "source code", and since fonts aren't programs (they are just data, aren't they?), can fonts even be GPL'd?
...instead of relying on a dubious "social contract".
If they wanna make sure you get the ads, I'm sure somebody could write an Apache module that refuses to serve the requested content until after other prerequisite pages are requested and served...
I'm surprised that this hasn't been done yet (or has it?)
Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, you must now decide whether to reverse the decision for my client Chef. I know he seems guilty, but ladies and gentlemen... [pulling down a diagram of Chewbacca] This is Chewbacca. Now think about that for one moment--that does not make sense. Why am I talking about Chewbacca when a man's life is on the line? Why? I'll tell you why: I don't know.
It does not make sense. If Chewbacca does not make sense, you must acquit!
[pulling a monkey out of his pocket] Here, look at the monkey. Look at the silly monkey! [one juror's head explodes]
Taco Bell food causes flames to emanate from your ass? Are you from like, Massachusetts or something?
What a wimp! You'd never make it here in New Mexico.
...Googled for anything using MSN!
Nobody uses MSN, anyway. Or, at least nobody I know...
Ok.....

This was a troll, right?
Indeed. Just what DOES this have to with Wookies?

I thought the EEZ extended out to 200 miles these days...
Yeah, like those expensive diet pills being hawked at all hours on TV.
Of course, one of those companies is offering a free sample bottle. My favorite non-sequiter: "They're GIVING it away? It must be good!"
Ok....

Why would anyone object to having extra content shoved at them? It's not like you have to pay extra to get the ads, right?
Gimme all the free content ya got!
How could they bill her for products or services she didn't obtain from them?
If I go to my local record store, and they give me free copies of albums they've illegally replicated, the RIAA is gonna bill ME?
They need to go after the illegal distributor, not the end user.

Maybe I should STFU...
They're lunatics, I tell you.
Sheer lunacy.
Hmmmm.. Seems to me there used to be a rule forbidding second level domains being the same as any TLD, but that's obviously gone by the wayside...
For example, there's com.com, net.com, org.com, etc...
Why did L/N need to know their subsribers SSNs?
Maybe I shoulda RTFA'd, but I'm not new here...
Har! I, too, wish I had mod points!
Surely, "Free as in Spyware" is to become the newest Slashdot meme, now...

"He's pretty sure they are flying towards the gates of hell,..."
"Gates" should be capitalized, no?
You mean, "emergely named", don't you...?
Not likely.
The Southern Pacific doesn't exist anymore, because it was absorbed into the Union Pacific in 1996....
I keep backup of my encryption key in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\EncryptionKey.txt just in case I forget what it is...
On the other hand, going south out of Tucson on Interstate 19, there is a sign giving the distance to the next exit as 500 meters, instead of 1/2 km.
I wonder how come in the rest of the country where highway signs are still marked in miles, we don't see "next exit 1320 feet" instead of 1/4 mile...
