  1. Firefox 4 still beats them all on Browser Power Consumption Compared · · Score: 1

Firefox 4 is still tops in speed, power consumption, and "mod-ability". I've used chrome, opera, and others in past but since Firefox 4 every single test I've ran compared to other browsers Firefox 4 is #1 in leaps and bounds. Mozilla has really pulled ahead of the competition with this version. Can't even perceive what is coming next in firefox 5

  5. Good, now facebook should ban all ads on Facebook Bans AdSense In Apps · · Score: 1, Insightful

Nobody likes ads anyhow, I cut cable tv 9 years ago and have pirated ever since due to spam and the massive amounts of ads that pop culture has turned into. I use adblock, peerguardian, updated blocklists and null routes in my router to avoid spam at all costs... several years ago people were as massively anti ads as I am now, but somehow the new 'politically correct' thing to do is to embrace ads for some odd reason and people actually defend ads nowdays... Sad really. There are many alternate ways for developers to monetize their applications... I ran a forum in the 90's on "donation ware" with ability to pay monthly for additional privileges like uploading files / etc, and it was plenty to pay for itself plus extra in pocket to help pay the bills. People need to quit settling for ads and actively block all ads and protest media that spam by using alternate means to aquire said media without ads :) 9+ years and counting and in those 9 years I have never installed antivirus software (never a virus/malware/spyware thanks to massive firewall/peerguardian/adblock and similar in past ), or had to bother with pesky 40 minutes of commercials to watch a 20 minute show. :) yet people like me have become the "bad guy" when just 5 years ago those that employed spam, ads, commercial networks were the "bad guy"

  6. I wish U.S. was still a republic on Politics: Libyan Rebels Announce Creation of a Republic · · Score: 1

I really wish the U.S. was still a republic, but unfortunately the 'new deal' destroyed the republic we did have. When ya get down to barebones and read the definition from Black Law Dictionary that our judicial system uses read the definition for a republic then a democracy, the legal definition not the regular dictionary, and decide which you would rather have.

You'd think they'd learn from shoutcast who started up in 1999 has ruled the net as the new king of all media, over 30 thousands public streams and many many more private streams. They are and have always been the best way for music, you'd think the media morons would have taken notice and learned

  9. This is the biggest reason why I'm a pirate on Does Syfy Really Love Sci-Fi? · · Score: 1

I cut cable off about a year ago even though I pirated off and on before that I have now switched to full on pirating of entertainment as far as television is concerned. I use western digital wtv live to stream torrented or megaupload divx movies over the network to my television. Television channels are all spam, the amounts of commercials are staggering, you can't watch a show for 5 minutes without a commercial, and the commercial breaks are so long that they have to stop and remind you of what you are watching "We'll be right back with xxx" then continue into more commercials. I've had enough of spam, and fake reality tv. It's not reality tv, it's all scripted. And for those reasons Its not worth my money, with the MASSIVE AMOUNTS of commercials they got their money and I am not a nielson family anyhow so I'm not counted for anything anyhow. So I will continue to pirate the shows commercial free that I enjoy and hope more and more people follow suit. If more and more turned to P2P the advertisers and networks will have to wake up and realize their tired old ways no longer work and things will have to change. piracy is now the only way to enjoy television without the massive amounts of spam and being able to choose when, where, and how you want to watch. And I wont stop until television has a major wake up call and realizes we don't want reality tv, and stop spamming us.

Remember all the trials about subliminal message causing teens to commit acts of violence or promiscuity from records? And people all up in arms about 'satanic' messages when records were played backwards b.s.? this is just history repeating itself in my opinion... this is just a placebo effect or power of suggestion really. You will get the same thing from chilling out listening to some Enigma or Massive Attack for example.
