As far as teaching goes at the younger level schools are desperatly trying to get men.
I have a friend who returned to school and got a degree in elementry education and was offered signifigant signing bonuses. The really wanted some male role models for the students. I think it is also readonable for a UI project designed for everyone to out of its way for tallented women.
Since all the enamies strength is based on your level, leveling up is not really needed.
I actually stopped playing the game when I realized I could just walk anywhere and do anyhting whenever I fealt like it. I don't like grinding and grinding to level up, but there are enough sidequests that you should be able top level some without it feeling useless.
I guess I could increase the difficulty and then slowly ease it again and pretend I levelled far enough for the next primary quest, but it seems really contrived. It should be possible to have a godlike character if you put the time into it.
In fact the guides for playing on the hardest setting tell you NOT to level any more than needed because it will become too difficult.
The whole trend of completly scalable difficulty in games is very frustrating. I was reading in Wired about a game that adapts to easier and harder depending on how you do without your input, and it seems stupid to me. I want to get better at a game and beat the hard part, or I will skip it; I don't want it to just make less and less people come at me until map 10 is as easy as map 1.
You sound like the Kazakhstanis that think Borat is an attack on them, and not an attack of the ignorance of others.
When I watch a bunch of Texans singing "throw the Jew done the well" I do not think Kazakhstanis hate Jews, I feel sad for my countrymen and at the same time arrogently supperior in a funny way, but nothing negative to Kazakhstan.
If you could find a pun that attacked America I would be perfectly content (as long as it was punny)
If I were you this is what would offend me personaly.
But it doesn't let others get your info (they have the sidekick) it lets you keep a copy.
unless you don't trust T-mobiles security (which has been shown to be lapse), but the feature itself is plenty safe, especialy in the lost phone scenario.

Also a problem for rat trap makers is that rats are far more cautious than mice (who are very courious). Poisening rats doesn't really work to well eaither (there is a good chance they explode in your wall).

Mouse traps are incredibly effective, and a snap barly hurts.
Why would anyone buy a better mouse trap? they are nearly perfect.
If you buy a photo from a photographer are you allowed to post it on the internet?
If I were the victem I would be sueing under copyright law, trying to get money per photo per hit.
I d think the seller is a lieing schmuck though, because I doubt anyone would leave that data on the laptop if it worked, though maybe a data recovery program was used and the buyer is the schmuck.
Wow, I almost posted a comment that was a completly un-reasonable response to yours do to knee-jerkery and not RTFC (Reading The Fucking Post) all the way through.
I am leaving the unfinished comment below as a warning to all the other non-reading asshats out there.
---old post---- the statements:
The ultimate goal of Islamic fundamentalism is to dismantle secular institutions and set up an Islamic state.
and
The bad guys suffered significant military defeats in Afghanistan and Iraq.
are hard for me to reconcile. I do agree fully with the second statement in regard to Afghanistan, but Iraq was not an Islamic state. by any measure before the war, and the elected government leans in that direction. The removal of secular institutions in Iraq was done by the coalition forces. And the bad guys have been able to kill more Americans because of the war in Iraq than they had in a previous decade of terror attacks.
Actually it sounds to me like the people working them for minimum wage (or less) are also not training them to do their jobs.
The limited expierence I have had with hispanic workers of questionable legallity leads me to believe that they work far harder than the general population.
If someone has no concept of their job in a fairly siple procedural one like that it is the manager that is most at fault.
It kind of reminds me of the (made up) story about Sun Tzu where he is tested/dared to make soldiers out of women.
"if a general gives orders and they are not followed because they are unclear, it is the fault of the general".
Cleaning staff not cleaning do to "no concept" is a clear case of that, and the same people who will grossly take advantage of illegals to save a few dollors (minimum wage isn't much) are probably the same that would not train them to actually seperate dirty and clean and clean sheets propperly at the detriment of customers.
As for the resistant TB mentioned by GP, the real solution is to pressure Mexico into controlling Anti-biotics better so that the TB is killed, and not naturally selected to be more resistant (of course minimal free health care for our own less fortunate would probably help prevent resistant strains too).
Easy to play retro games with the motion stick (and nunchuck).
NES: turn want 90 degrees Snes: use attachement, left stick acts as controlpad, control pad on right is a,b,x,y N64: left stick is anolog stick and trigger, control pad A,B, and tilting acts for the C buttons NGC: attachement is anolog stick, tilt is C-stick, controlpad is A,B,X,Y and triggers are triggers (Z button would be missing).
this would pose a problem for games that treated the C-buttons as action style buttones, but otherwise it should work fine, and for camera-control it could even be an improvement. Some Gamecube games use the controlpad and stick both and wouldn't work also.
I dont read restrict nutjobs access to guns as advocating gun control at all. I read it as advocating better mental healthcare in the US. With the emphasis on keeping the nutjobs away from guns, not guns away from the sane.
DVD's limit output to non digital devices?
I actaully thought DVDs were the opposite and limited it on the digital ones.
Wow, 400% price drop?
I can't wait till they start paying $3000.00 to take a drive.
I read an article about Cubans doing something similar (due to the difficulty of getting new cars ect.).
The modified bikes to be able to do as much as 50 MPH. Apparently they are very dangerous because the breaks are not meant to take all that.

The things MS did that impressed me the most were 1) scroll wheel 2) decent optical mouse
Both of these came to my attention from MS and I think they were at least partially responsible for them.
Those shots are from 1999.
I doubt HL2 shots looked so hot from back then either
You'r right. The GP was looking for a yes or no as a response.

The real key is there needs to be security patches to the old version IMO
Now we know that they are actually editing and not just using copy and paste.
interesting.
If pentium 4 was better than pentium III why are they going back?
More importantly, isn't it possible to see liscense plates from space?

I remember reading tha the card manufacturers were complaining about how they were going to have trouble making good open GL drivers for Vista.
It was supposed to be a joke.

I just purchased a case of Vintage Seltzer for 2.50/dozen.
Less than the soda I purchased at the same time (2.99/dozen).
I personaly prefer the unflavored (as long as it's cold and from a can), but they had lemon/lime and oronge also.
