Personally i think ABS and TCS are horrible and promote lazy unskilled drivers. Your situation reminds me of norway i think it is. Where to get your drivers license you MUST know how to drift a car. The more drivers aids we have the more we condition ourselves to use them.

  7. Instinct on A Car You Can Drive With Your Thoughts · · Score: 1

The only way i can see this being good is if its faster than my reflexes. Can it shift before the signal gets from my mind to my arm to shift? Driving is more an instinct than a thought at least in my case. Especially in near crash situations i find that my body "just does" without me having to actually think about the movements.I fear this system will lead to handicapped/disabled drivers driving sluggishly, not being able to pull out of tight spots, and creating more handicapped/disabled drivers.

I remember Duke Nukem 3D having an adults only rating. That title for the time was pushing boundaries. With interactive strippers, heavy profanity and hell, he rips off an aliens head and shits down its neck. Thats what made it great. If even Australia gives this game a 15+ rating how watered down will it be.

Its easy to find vulnerabilities when EVERYONE is looking for them. Linux and BSD is nowhere near as widely in use as Windows. The people that use those two also generally have greater know how than an average windows user. Oh look someone sent me notavirus.exe let me run it. Car analogy. I see more broken civics than f430s. Not beacuse the f430 engine lasts longer but because there is a high number of civics around and a high percentage of that high number doesnt take care of them. Do you think that OSX for instance is so locked down that if the same number of people tried to find exploits they wouldnt be able to? When any other OS has equal market share with Windows then i can agree with you.

  13. Re:Here's a clue for Microsoft on Ballmer Turns To Geeks For Salvation · · Score: 2

The only reason there are so many viruses for Windows its beacuse its the most widely used OS anywhere in the world. Any other OS with the same level of popularity would have viruses.

What blame? There is no problem so there is no blame. There is nothing wrong with the process its an open format. As long as no one is actively excluded because gender/race/class where is the problem? Is it really that hard to fathom that different groups of people enjoy different things? Are we going to have to import heavy metal fans into an opera just so we can say we are diverse? The people that are good in their field have a tendency to outshine their competition no matter gender or race. Also thank you for whoever modded my previous comment -1 troll. I didnt realize writing in a coherent manner expressing my point of view while insulting no one was trollish behavior. Lesson learned.

There is nothing wrong with being sexist. We have two different sexes after all. And no it doesnt matter. Things like this and when companies NEED to hire minorities actually causes a greater negative sexist/racist problem. Instead of treating people as equals we elevate some purely on racial backgrounds or what sex they are. This will of course cause resentment from others who have/had to work harder to achieve the same position. Has anyone even considered that women dont WANT to write wikipedia articles?

But how do you know the tools are not in use if you dont know what tools were used. Thats a very bold leap of faith to claim that something is not used because you cannot identify what was used. The Egyptians could of very well used tools still in use today, they just used them in ways we dont know about. I for one find it VERY silly to state you dont know what tool was used to perform a task, then claim that tool is not in used anymore.
