Did you realize that the Alienware 7700 (Clevo D900T) is an MXM slot video card?
Did you try buying ANY other MXM slot video to make it functional before you butchered it?
I bought my Sager brand Clevo D901C precisely for the MXM video. You went to Alienware (DELL) for an overpriced part which isn't produced anymore when you could have gone to a place like mxm-upgrade.com for a low-end card or any of the dozens of Clevo/Sager resellers and got a modern part.
She is an elected student representative... but unfortunately they don't have any rights granted by their office except for maybe a budget to spent on student outreach.
That speaks directly to my point. She isn't just some outspoken brat... she is an elected student representative who has been given no power to actually accomplish the goals of her office.
Unfortunately what we're seeing here is how student government office holders are typically official powerless figureheads meant to keep a lid on direct student action and unrest.
The MSU Bulk E-Mail policy allows for emailing "information regarding changes of University policies or procedures" but the privilege of exercising these speech rights is reserved to "only by University offices". Student governments are typically not an official university office and have no rights under any of the policies which exempt the first year teaching assistant.
Even worse, students are officially customers of the university yet constrained by draconian state laws which constrain their behavior as if they were minors in the care of the state and every university staff or faculty member were their guardians.
I encourage students everywhere to encourage their universities to adopt a "grown-up" student government policy where student office holders are official employees of the state and actually represent the interests of their constituents / the university's customers. Vote with your (or your parent's) dollars: attend schools which respect their customer's rights!
1) "Today's P2P file sharing applications are inappropriate for AT&Tâ(TM)s mobile wireless broadband network, which is optimized to efficiently support high data rates for multiple users that send and receive intermittent or âoeburstyâ traffic generated by activities such as browsing the Internet and sending email. Because P2P file sharing applications typically engage in continuous (rather than bursty) transmissions at high data rates, a small number of users of P2P file sharing applications served by a particular cell site could severely degrade the service quality enjoyed by all customers served by that site."
and
2) "AT&T's terms of service for mobile wireless broadband customers prohibit all uses that may cause extreme network capacity issues, and explicitly identify P2P file sharing applications as such a use."
HERE is the problem... under terms of (2) if any activity doesn't fit the use profile for the optimizations described in (1) then it MAY be interpreted as being in breach of contract.
That means at&t optimized a certain way and if my use profile doesn't fall in line with their optimized network (for example by holding 4-6 TCP sockets open for several hours and continuously feeding data across 2-3 of those connections) then my contract could be terminated because I'm doing more than reading email and watching youtubes.
TFA says that digital memristor products will be out much sooner than the analog "synapse emulating" circuits. It seems you're trolling or confused the two.
but I'm afraid that it will be a few years before LCD projectors hit the price/performance point that lets them beat HDTV's for a high-res immersive gaming setup.
So... what if your laptop get wiped and some random OS (windows) is installed on it.
If you had a customized auto-running USB device connected and this hopefully inexpert windows install will activate your software and hopefully help you recover the laptops.
Well first you have to make it not so obvious... so best to have an internal USB installation. As far as making an auto-runnable USB mass-storage device you can try a U3 hack (see this quarter's 2600) or there are much more expensive USB devices out there that let you install data to a read-only auto-runnable USB "CD-ROM".
I'm honestly quite surprised that there isn't a retail product like this available. It's more convenient than a BIOS recovery system and more reliable than a pure-software solution.
While Sun does open source a lot of actual code I've seen them cannibalize projects they take commercial.
Here's one example I love to bitch about: the JDIC (java desktop integration) project only recently recovered from a 1.5 year break in updates after being integrated into the JVM. A native desktop browser inside a Swing frame has been poorly supported or a commercial solution.
I think of the 2nd film as consistent within the SAC/SSS storyline. SSS fits logically after the 2nd movie.
There are also some scenes in common with the manga and GiTS:SAC. Chronologically SAC 1 and 2 take place before the 1st movie. So there may be some manga/SAC overlap, just as there is manga/movie overlap.
By the way - there are also a series of short stories which fit within the SAC timeline and a novel that logically bridges the two movies... and a 2nd manga which stretches way into the future... and a 3rd manga I haven't read yet.;)
Java's inclusion in the BluRay menu system means forcing Microsoft back into implementing a Java VM on a new platform. Let's hope that none of the Sun v Microsoft legal agreement prevents them from doing so.
Not that MS seems to be doing much to capture the developer market (and it wouldn't take much effort to do better than Sun in this regard... I even find the Apache community lacking in some aspects).
"I don't know who is to blame," Mr Easterbrook says. "The issue of obesity is complex and is absolutely one our society is facing, there's no denial about that, but if you break it down I think there's an education piece: how can we better communicate to individuals the importance of a balanced diet and taking care of themselves? Then there's a lifestyle element: there's fewer green spaces and kids are sat home playing computer games on the TV when in the past they'd have been burning off energy outside.
"The Government has a part to play, individuals have a responsibility and so does the food and drink industry. These are the three pillars that need to work together and demonstrate that they have a commitment to solving the issue. We're front and centre of the diet piece of the debate and, as a large business with a big influence, it is a responsibility that we accept as a leader in our sector."
Government responsibility, individual responsibility, industry responsibility have to be in sync to solve the issue.
Hadoop is the open source equivalent to Google's MapReduce.

That bug is hilarious. Must read!
also posting to see if this works...
even if I look bad because I'm posting to get an achievement...
how meta is that?

Time Crisis 4 makes me wish for death... or for Castle Wolfenstein.
I predict a surplus of un-sold or returned PS3's when consumers find their PS2 games don't work on the new models.
The filings state:

Having used a "GMB" site (brightkite.com) I can say the point is to discover your peers rather than simply squawk your location for no reason.
Did you play using those books?
If so, well good! You were entertained and got some worth out of it.
If you remember 2nd edition monster manual binder crap we were flooded with the 3.5e books are nothing.
2) add more projectors will help
but I'm afraid that it will be a few years before LCD projectors hit the price/performance point that lets them beat HDTV's for a high-res immersive gaming setup.
At least you mentioned a USB dongle.
A hidden USB device of some kind seems to be an incredibly obvious quick fix to the hardware/software problem.

You mean the anime right? because at least 2 of the 3 English language manga I own have such scenes.
I'm surprised the OP didn't catch on to this.

I also have no problems with Civ4, downloading Darwinia now.
I guess Steam is a satisfying alternative to CD-based copy protection in my case.
Java is neither the simplest programming language nor more valuable to an education than straight C.
Also, I'm a Java professional.
