If you want stop-motion animation that looks realistic, check out Dragonslayer. They used a technique called "go motion" that really made stop-motion look fantastic. The technique was used in other movies... like Empire Strikes Back (for the Imperial Walkers, for instance), but Dragonslayer did it better, if you ask me. Dragonslayer was even up for a visual effects Oscar because of it. Raiders of the Lost Ark beat them out that year.;-)
I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I was given a PS3 as a gift recently, so I have been playing some of those games now too. The last console I had before this was a Dreamcast. lol Anyway, I recently discovered Demon's Souls and... damn! That game is hard! I love it! lol It is nice to see that some games are nice and tough still... it definitely gives a feeling of accomplishment when you finish a section.:-) More games need to do this! Do you hear me, Sony?! Make me happy!;-)
Did you just say that the bible proves free will doesn't exist? Maybe you meant to say that the bible explains that free will doesn't exist. I don't think there is proof of anything in the bible... it's based on faith... not proof.
True... Blip may not have been the best game out there, but it was definitely a mechanical marvel... I give it that. Demon Driver was another neat mechanical one from Tomy back then.
Your basic logic is why I believe that games of imagination... even constructed ones, like pencil-and-paper role-playing-games (more books!)... are possibly the best "toys" you can give your kid. My "block of wood" was RPG's... and I still have a fondness for them, even today.:-) Their value goes beyond just entertainment.
When I originally glanced at these words together in the OP's post, I thought it was a reference to Stevie Wonder. For a moment, I thought the OP was making a joke about how they seem to be handing these phones out to blind folk or something.
I guess I could be wrong, but I have a feeling he is kinda joking around when he made the cracks about having people pay to "park in his spot." I find it hard to believe that he is being serious about having real claim to any moon property (other than the landers, themselves). Am I the only one thinking he is just goofing off with such statements?
Yup, I get Mexican Coke at CostCo.:) It is in the nice green glass bottles (12 oz.) and just tastes oh so much better. I understand you can also find it at some WalMarts, but they don't carry it at my local WalMart. After having the Mexican Coke, I am spoiled forever and don't want to go near the HFCS variety again.
Total agreement. Loved Kennedy Approach. It actually had great speech for the day. Another Sid Meier classic.:-)
In fact, it would have been cool to see his Pirates! on this list, since it was the first game that really did the chained-mini-game style perfectly!:-D
Amen! I even remember the Infocom ads in magazines would claim that their games had the best graphics out there... the ones your mind developed. It was worded differently, but that was the gist.;-)
I know what you mean. I would dream of how games might be "eventually, someday" and now we do have games that basically are what I dreamt of... or are even above what I imagined as a kid! They are great, but somehow it never is as good as your imagination made it seem like it would be.;-)
That being said, I still have fantastic memories of playing the Infocom games once upon... your imagination is the best entertainer there is.:-)
Ah, yes! I agree completely. I always say exactly what you just said. "Life Of Brian" is definitely their best movie, but who can't hold endless love for The Holy Grail, as well.:-) I need to crack into my DVD collection tonight, I think.
I'm pretty sure that Carmageddon looked better if you had a 3dfx card. I have a memory of seeing it loaded normally and then seeing it on a 3dfx machine and it was a BIG difference in the smoothness of the graphics.
It has been an age, so I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure the 3dfx technology made a big difference with that game.
SMS is pretty old... cool that yours still works!:-) I have a few old consoles too... I even still have my Atari 2600 (Sears model heavy-sixer) and it still works just fine! I think it is 30-31 years old, since it was purchased in 1978.
I also have an old Pong game that is actually older, but I forget who made it. I will have to pull it out someday to check it out again. It worked the last time I tried it, btw.
I used to have a Fairchild Channel-F, which is also older than the 2600... It was the first console to use cartridges. I wish I still had that thing. lol
The oldest computer I have is a Commodore Vic-20 from 1981, I believe. Still works too!:-D
I think I have that beat... I have a Betamax still. I honestly don't the the exact age... I should research it, though. I am reasonably confident it is from prior to 1991, though.
The last time I used it, it still worked. It doesn't rewind anymore, though. (I guess the rewind motor is shot.) The seek-rewind works, so if you watch a movie, you have to seek-rewind for like 20 minutes to rewind the movie. lol

What happened now? Sarah Palin e-mailed Snoop Dogg and now he is being jailed? Crazy world we live in.
A "Far Out Space Nuts" reference. I wonder if anyone other than myself got that one. lol

Ah! I saw it say 2010 in the link, as well. It seems that it was fixed quickly to now read 2012. Fat fingers!

DragonForce was the gem of the Saturn system, if you ask me. :-) Fantastic game... and it hasn't been ported to any other system yet! Ugh!
Wazzat?!

I did! I just posted about it a few minutes ago, too. I didn't se your post regarding it.
"Steve. Wonder"

100% agreement! The NOLF games are pure gold. I also wished for more sequels.

I got the joke too. Those ads are so obnoxious.

Yes, I am also a big fan of Pepsi Throwback. I hate that it is a limited-time-only item, though. They should keep it around permanently.

But I'm a cat... I'm a kitty cat... and I dance, dance, dance... and I dance, dance, dance.
lol
I love that Twitter even has "Service Unavailable" as a trending topic. ;-) heh
