    What's wrong with people? This kind of behaviour has been around so long, that a word's been invented to describe it. And just to show that musicals apply to every situation in life, here's the beginning of a song for that word from the musical Avenue Q:

    American citizens will soon be required to bear a passport to re-enter the country by 2007, regardless of where they're coming in from. Vide: Travel Document Requirements FAQ from regulations passed earlier this year. Yes, they can't keep US citizens out of the US by law. But they're now saying, 'A US Passport is the only document we're going to accept as proof of your citizenship in the US.' Don't have a US Passport, you're SOL.

    Actually, not all Commonwealth citizens are permitted knighthood. Canada, for instance, doesn't allow its citizens to receive titles from foreign governments. A few years ago, the Canadian federal government intervened when the British government wanted to knight Conrad Black. When the British government knighted a Canadian-British citizen, Terry Matthews, the Canadian government protested.

    The authour writes that 195,000 H-1Bs are available, and this was true for three years (FY 2001-2003). The current number has dropped back to the original amount, 65,000 annually according to the DHS:CIS (what replaced the INS).

    No amount of linux boxes can save Natalie Portman from the hamfisted "direction" by Lucas. He writes, produces and directed the prequels, whereas he had help with Ep 4-6. He apparently believes he can write a movie better without pesky things like suggestions and critiques of his work. Is it any surprise the movies have a very different feel?

    It makes you sound like a real asshole.



    I don't know that I read that as bragging, perhaps because I'm in the same situation. I'm about the same age, and I've been put in a lead position where some of the developers and contractors who had to report to me were many years my senior. I read it as him being somewhat overwhelmed with the mantle of leadership -- I know I was, when I was asked to 'step up'.


    Just my 2 cents.
