    Virtual Pc is a CSIM, vmware is an attempt at virtualizing intel (ia32 has a non virtualizable instruction set). two different things. Of course Vmware will be faster. Does vmware run on OSX? no not unless you use virtual pc to run it in.

    how long before an emualtion package is released. I'm sure a machine as powerful as this should be able to emulate gb and gbc. I would also be interested in athe PDA features as well as possible linux builds :)

    how about pki signed worms that must be verified locally. Symantec can go it. Every time there is an exploit, a new one is let loose. It will only run if its signed and the everything checks out.

    the article mentions 17 shells. Additional info revealed that the one that was used a in radside bomb was not effectivce because it was a more sophisticated variety which only mixed the cahmicals to produce the cytosrin in flight. I think whist these 17 alone was enought o kill something around 150000 people. This is however proof that there were WMD found in Iraq. I think i remember people saying that nothing was found. Expect more "administrative errors" in the future as more caches are found.

    dude, they were not. Just becase the ny times wont report the finding of WMD does not mean that there were none. This AP article was not on headlines in the US, wonder why?.

    please be aware that not everything that happens / is happening in the world is on the new or is everything online. I speak from personal experience and my interaction with people from AI. take it for whats it worth, or dont. The BBC has a lot of good (though biased) stories about the conflict in nepal and how human right groups made it worse by intervening or sideing with one party or the other.

    for $5 (which is really reasonable) you can get a legal, mostly open source DVD player for linux. here . The fact that linux users won't buy software is another thing.

    given this is one of the fundamental technologies used for discovery and saring data in itunes, i am surprised it took them so long to release it. It also means that people can write more itunes compatible players (hint to all those linux itunes knockoffs). compatible in the sense that it will appear as a avaiable share and will see other shares on the network. Now all we need is an icaht compatible chat client so that people on a lan do not need a central server to IM :).
    It will also be interesting to see how this is applied node discovery in existing p2p systems like gnutella
