sorry this is off topic in general, but direct question to your post. You say that the 650H locks up alot/don't work. My 650 locks up all the time, but doesn't say 'H' I'm thinking it might be labled wrong. All the '650's i have seen are black plastic ends. Also the picture on the box is black, mine is gray. Perhaps mine is a '650H' but some moron put '650' on???

My buddies black 650 works fine and automagically under redhat, mine seems to work under RH, but just seems to lockup after a random number of minutes, only way to get it working again is reboot. Then it works fine??? Any ideas or thoughts on what I can try???

They are embedded type cards which typically have less juice than full size PCs of the same mhz. Doing parrallel processing also typically results in less power than a single chip of the same mhz (4x250 is less than 1000mhz in resulting power) So these cards at 266mhz really wouldn't have much power at all for the money. In one of my programming classes an instructor had a phrase that applies to this. "Bullet proof your code" Meaning whatever the user enters the program should work right.

Problems often come up in programing for input. Normally you have an expected range of input, and if your program works at all and the input is in the expected range you get the expected output. BUT what if the use enters the ABSOLUTE maximum value, is your variable size large enough? what about the absolute min, often zero, does it still work right. Your not going to try and divide by that zero or something that will fail. What if a negative number is entered.

Those are all basic unput checking questions...but its the general idea. Bullet proof your code, or at least try to make it so.
