    I watched about 10 minutes, I quickly recognized that it was a (bad) pastiche of the books. Typical dribble from the "Entertainment" industry. I really do feel sorry for her.

    If they are using electricty to run the servers, and somehow I think they are, they are causing pollution. It's called secondary or indirect pollution. I admit that it's probably not as drastic as building a house, but it's still there.

    I've dealt with these guys. They are satisfied with what they're getting out of that type of system and will keep it till the power surge blows it away. Hell, I wouldn't be suprised if some of them checked Ebay for replacement hardware. I'm sure they know were they put those 5.25 floppies.

    When Harlie was one was the first book that I recall about a computer that designed another more complex computer that only it could understand.

    Maybe Harlie was a Linux cluster.

    However, when the stupid malware companies realize that what they really need to do is be more like the true biologial parasite, then it may slow down. A RL parasite is benign to the host. If they wrote their code so that you never knew it was there, you would never know to complain now would you?
