Yes, for example, you can't say "I believe that being Homosexual is a behavioral issue just like being an Alcoholic is and that it should be cured." and hoped to get moderated +1 insightful on Slashdot. Likewise, you can't watch, agree with, distribute, let high school students watch Controversial Documentaries. You decide.
Also, maybe it's just me, but doesn't 40 GB or 80 GB seem awfully small for the storage of feature-length HD video? We're talking what, 10-20 movies at best?
According to the MPAA, you shouldn't need more than 1 or 2 movies or your a pirate. Plus, after the two-day rental expires the movie will conveniently delete itself.
A few days ago it was slightly cloudy with a thin layer of clouds passing over the sun. Through the tinted windows of my vehicle and this slight thin layer, the sun was filtered just enough that i could look right at it. I could see Sunspot 720 without any magnification. It was so big, I swore Venus or Mercury was in Transit across the sun, but knew it couldn't be because that only happens every 100+ years and it already happened a couple years back.
I browsed the internet and found out that at that time there was a Sunspot, the size of 7 earths. It was 720.
You willing to step up and make the contribution? Cause if you're not, it's not going to happen. Contrary to popular belief, arm-chair analysis and feedback isn't what makes the world turn--Opensource or otherwise. It's those that take action which cause things to spin, whether through donations, code, bug reports, *using it anyway, though it sucks*, documentation, irc support, etc. etc.
Whining about aesthetics never got anyone anywhere. Even Jobs knows about that.
Yesterday in Massachusetts, a snow plow operator, too dumb to know his truck had GPS, exposed himself to a woman at a coffee shop, hopped back in his truck and was apprehended in minutes because the state troopers, knowing only the location of the coffee shop and that it was a snow plow operator, could find his exact whereabouts.
Wow.. this has got to be a constitutional right we need to preserve! Exposition. Where do I sign?
When will the artists rendition competition begin for what it looks like on the surface? Should be able to see Saturn on the horizon, since it only goes out to Jupiter's orbit.
mach -> make holz -> wood newly discovered comet -> new star
It's the making of Wormwood! Forget all that Chernobyl hocus pocus. Maybe when Tempel 1 gets impacted, a piece will hit machholz causing it to make a direct course for Earth.
If you re-read the comment page and see that the ratio of +5 funnies exceeds insightful, then you should easily gauge how concerned the slashdot readership really cares about this issue.
I've come to believe that proposals to make time more like the metric system of linear measurement to be misconstrued. It should be circular, not linear. Notice how 30, 12, 24, 360 are related. It ain't perfect, but it matches how space and gravity works. Now that we know a bit more about gravity affecting time, might as well keep circular measurements and time together!
This just doesn't make sense. If we're just talking about ballistic missiles and neutralizing enemy threats, there's not much else to research. We've had this a *long* time ago. Calling it a different name and having full disclosure to the press about its failures doesn't make sense as a new conspiracy and cover up for other intentions.
Course, I never believed in Roswell, but who knows?
is the vain imagination of the MSM and governments testing an overbroad assertion of control of their people. They're trying to figure out what to do when people finally catch on to what we've been pulled into with AIDS. All indicators are pointing to Avian Flu as the next WHO catchphrase with SARS as a related entity.
This doesn't mean we don't need stem cell research, but it is a simple and potentially cheap way to get many of the benefits for spinal injury.
Nice disclaimer. We do need stem cell research. What we do not need is fetal stem cell research.
It's funny that we now live in a time where we worry more about Bic poking bunnies in the eye with pens than harvesting fetuses for so-called research. One day, I hope that everyone gets their head on straight.

In SpaceQuest X, the last inStall, as a young swashbuckling janitor, you sneak into the EA (extra-terrestial aliens) mothership and have to save many lowsome programmers enslaved by evil PHBs that crack the whip for hours on end. After bringing them home, they will all open lawsuits against you for taking away their income. You will be sent deep into the mines of Xarcon Penitentiary where you have to mop 10,000 floors of pure granite.
Not the point. But your response supports my hypothesis.
thanks.

Dear Michael Moore:
Get your facts straight. Powell and the FCC were heavily involved.
Oh, while your getting the facts in order, learn to use google.
Thanks,
concerned reader

Large planet orbiting brown dwarf. How is it lit up enough to see it?
Not sure, but this is probably not the way to volunteer to be one.
Who's hating who? That's what I'm trying to figure out in this thread.
Yeah, and Israeli companies don't have to worry about their employees wearing bomb jackets to work! They should do a book on Palestinians.
Since this is slashdot:

Scrap it.

Good night.
Now, let's see if the editors would allow a "Deb packaging sucks and is too political, as always" onto the front page.
Nah. Europeans name OSes and FSes after themselves, so it can't be either.

just 2c from a very uninformed layman.

First, the examples are blank.
Second, hypermetrics.com doesn't work.
Third, you didn't use <a>.
You're making me work too hard!!
