The Chinese solve the road tax issue by having tolls every 10 miles or so on the freeway. Between Tianjin and Beijing, I must have stopped at least 5 times for toll
In my experience the biggest homophobes have been closeted gays. Remember Senator "I have a wide squat position, I wasn't trying to pick up men" Larry Craig?
So as we call it in SoCal, light traffic. I don't really see the problem that would require the huge investment in hyperloop. I've been in much worse traffic and commute. Even the good Tokyo train system it's about that speed if not worse. Crossing into SF from East Bay on the BART takes about that long during commuting hours and that's not even close to 27 miles.
Every station own by iHeartRadio sounds the same. Radio hasn't been a source for new music discovery for years because they're always pushing the same 20 "artists". And I'm damn tire of Ryan Seacrest and Mario Lopez. Taylor Swift had a new song and about an hour later I've heard it 4 times on three different stations.
They probably did the math and found that the infrastructure require for battery swap wasn't economical. Better Place tried and failed with battery swapping. Took about $1 million per swap location. I think Tesla did try a battery swap service for Model S in California between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Butt not a lot of people used it. You drive to your destination swap out the battery on the way and when you come back the same way you swap out again with your original battery pack.
This is Singapore and there's a lot of "activities" that sailors can partake in. They totally want some of those famous chili crabs and barley drinks. Maybe a walk along Orchard Road before taking in the bountiful and beautiful views from Orchard Tower.
We're using AIM and we assume if people have internet connection then they must also use AIM. If we see no one on AIM then there must be no one else with an internet connection.
I'm with the theory that we're just at the beginning of life in this part of the universe. 13.7 billion years from the Big Bang. Multiple generations of star formation and death before getting to our Sun. Then another 4 billion years before complex life. Sounds like it takes awhile for intelligent life to get started.
If you think they're causing problems and you feel their shares are worth $8.4 billion then pay them the $8.4 billion. Because by your logic Uber will be worth so much more once Benchmark is gone. I'm sure Benchmark will be very happy to dump their shares for $8.4 billion.
Disney will take itself off Google and launch a competing search engine. They'll call it something cool like Infoseek or Go.com. I'm sure it's going to be very successful.
I'm all for Vulkan but Apple is not one to let others control an essential API. Remember when DirectX was behind OpenGL at the beginning and then passed OpenGL in speed and feature set?
The Nemesis Hypothesis is very interesting because it helps explain the regularity of mass extinctions. Of course, it could just be the regular harvesting of life in our part of the galaxy by Reavers, Eternal Ones, or The Flood.
I've seen enough Shark Tank to notice that the other judges are always saying "I can't invest with you because you don't believe enough in your idea to quit your day job" or "you're not 100% committed to this when you're not doing this full time."
How much LSD did it take to get VCs to invest $120 million in Juicero?
I remember eagerly waiting every month for our local library to get the latest Byte Magazine. I loved reading Chaos Manor.

I think I can still write faster with less error using Graffiti than with onscreen keyboards.
You forgot the part with Darth Maul having the higher ground over Obi-wan.
1) Remove all scenes of Jar Jar from Episode 1-3
2) Sell new de-Jarred version
3) Profit!!!

Damn!!! I think I paid less for front row to see Stomp in London but that was back in 2013.
10nm++ and 10nm+++:
Ice Cube Lake. Vanilla Ice Lake.
On 7nm will be:
Lava Lake. Lava Chocolate Cake Lake.
Aren't the usual android spyware/malware stories posted on Tuesday?

I wasn't exchanging bodily fluids with her. We were exchanging movies. You want to watch the new Wonder Woman movie?
I don't see a name attributed to the article and there's still an uncorrected metric conversion relating to the Chevy Bolt.
"But that’s changing. GM beat Tesla to the mass market with the Chevrolet Bolt, a $36,000 car that goes 238 miles (about 200 kilometers) per charge."
BOOM!!!! Another lost Mars probe.
MSFT : DirectX
Apple : Metal

My wife complains that I'm always carrying cash so my wallet is always bulky and I'm missing out on credit card rewards.
