    Yes Lindt makes very good chocolate. You can buy certain percentages of cocoa too 70% or 80%...something llike that.

    Anyway, for a store bought chocolate it tastes very good. Expensive! I saw a chocolate bar for sale in a corner store (here in Canada) whatever an average bar is 80G? ...it was $6.00!! But it's so but good.

    I pointed my TV remote at my Logitech webcam and it detected the IR light.

    Did the same thing to a Kodak CX6300 and a CX7300; they detected it.

    All I need to do is filter the visible light, no screwing around...or unscrewing.

    I wonder how long it will be before solid state hard drives will be common in home Personal Computers. Are Compact Flash cards (or any card with an adapter) the start?

    I recently bought a Compact Flash to IDE adapter and just having your PC on without two whirring hard drives certainly reduces the noise level.

    Yes I know the life of a CF is limited and the capacity is still very small too, isn't the biggest one 4GB? You can get dual CF to IDE devices, so a max of 8GB is possible.

    A Nano ITX system with a dual 4GB CF to IDE and your gold!

    It's amazing that we were affected 50,000 light years away. I wonder how much damage could have occured to humans on the moon; i.e. radiation exposure, physical damage to structures. Ever more amazing was we could have been killed if the Magnatar was closer, "only" 10 light years away.

    Wouldn't you love to be flying around in a spaceship and have that Magnatar blast a couple of trillion, trillion, trillion watts of energy at you? This would certainly eliminate most life in the area, as someone mentioned earlier, no worries about aliens from that section of the Galaxy!

    Maybe the Goa'uld caused the explosion, trying to kill the members of SG-1?! :P

    Can't you buy stocks in movies now, if so why not a TV show? If people like it they'll pay for it. It would make more sense than some stocks out there, you'd get a lot more enjoyment out of watching Jolene Blalock than 100 shares of GM.

    Constellation 3D was creating or had created fluorescent read/write technology for compact discs, or rather Fluorescent Multilayer Discs (FMD). Their news releases claimed that a 1TB disc was in the works. This was three of four years ago.

    I liked their "Clear Card" the best, a clear credit card sized rectangle that held around 200GB to 500GB. Very Star Trek, like the isolinear chips. :P

    Too bad they had so much trouble business-wise, they seemed to be OK creating the product, just not the business part.

    You didn't noticed the "ed" at the end of "shared" did you?

    Russia
    Alaska was once owned by Russia, the US purchased it from them in 1867. (birth year of Canada btw) They are just across the Arctic Ocean.

    France
    We have a border with France too, the islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon off Newfoundland belong to France.

    Denmark
    We border Greenland which is/was an autonomous region of Denmark. Sort of like Canada and the UK.

    Spain
    We almost bordered Spain, Washington State area was claimed by Spain. That was 50 years before Canada existed though.

    USA
    And of course the United States of America. A country south of Canada, which is part of the Americas.

    Why not just slow down a bit before entering the atmosphere? I mean the shuttle is going thousands of mph and they come down red hot and like a bat out of hell. Why not try to have more fuel onboard and slow down more so you don't need as much protection against the heat. If you slowed down to the Earth's rotation you could just fall into the atmosphere with no heat, like the X prize contestants did. Maybe just scrub off some speed like they do now only do it longer.

    I saw an interview on the Canadian Discovery Channel, they interviewed the guy who made the probe that would determine what the surface texture was like. He spent 12 years making it and it did its job in 1/20 of a second. He laughed, nice to see he has a sense of humour. He said the surface was like Creme Brule.

    Walking through the Stargate to flying around in spacships is a big leap in the show's format.

    The rings, pretty much a transporter.

    A lot of the terms they use seem to be right out ofd Star Trek, more than just general Sci-Fi buzzwords.

    It seems like as the show gets older they're losing their imagination. It was great at first but it, like all shows, loses creative momentum.

    That's funny, since Stargate steals a lot of their ideas from Star Trek. It's embarassing to watch sometimes.

    I have to say, as a non-US citizen, I am impressed with the CIA. When I see someone interviewed on TV who we're told works for or used to work for the CIA, and the detailed information(of all countries) on their website, I'm impressed. Why? Because on TV when the person answers a question there are no "umms" and "aaas", no answering a question with a question (amazing how you get used to that). Very focused and professional.
