I'm sorry, but I would have absolutely no problem with eating meat if I had to go and kill the cow myself.. however, I would have a tell of a problem killing or torturing another human being.
This is after all, that which is supposed to make us civilized.. right?
There used to be such a thing.. it was called lyrics.ch... you could do a full-text search on hundreds of thousands of songs.. I always found every song I could remember by lyrics... it was shut down... guess why? it "violated the rights of the artists", even though it's content was all submitted by visitors (and many lyrics had spelling, and other mistakes in them), and is almost totally useless for any other purpose.
This is a shameless self-plug, but oh well... If you're new to the whole DC Emulation scene and just want to try out a couple of emulators, check out DCFactory, trully the easiest way to burn yourself emulator+roms CDs for the DreamCast.
Also, DCFacory's sucessor, DMU CD Creator, although still in beta, provides a way to combine multiple emulators (and demos, and homebrew games, of which there are many) onto 1 CD, for those who are low on blanks.
Actually... the graphics/levels/sounds are easily extractable from DOOM I/II using a myrad of freely-available tools. I mean c'mon, these games have been hacked to death, with so many addons and conversions it'd make your head spin.
Actually, AFAIK they use Real, and yes, it has been cracked. There's a program called StreamBox VCR, it's actually illegal as Real(C) got Real(C) PissedOff(tm) about it being able to save streaming RM content to a HD.
However, a web search will still reveal places where you can download this excellent piece of software.
It was not default in NT4, you had to get install the Option Pack and then specifically select IIS to get installed.. I remember as this was my first web server (the pain in the ass that it was... I've long since moved to Apache/Linux)...
Our premier developer Rhys Weatherly has contributed 254,423 lines written since Jan 1, 2001. Which amounts to about 5000 lines per week which is phenomenal for any programmer. He is dotGNU's one-man army. So join him in celebrating his quarter billion lines of his code
Now the last time I checked, 250,000 was a quarter million, not a quarter billion
It hangs/locks up on me pretty much on a daily basis, and has about 36 hours of standby time (if you're lucky) and about half an hour of talk time to boot!
"Transistors are essentially voltage-controlled capacitors. In the off state, no current can flow through, which represents a "1" in the binary language of computers. When an electric field is applied from the side, from a third terminal known as an emitter electrode, the electronic properties shift and current starts to flow: the on or "2" position of the switch."
So since when is binary a code comprised of 1s and 2s?

And according to the announcement:
"Code development is currently focused on the branch that will lead to KDE 3.0, scheduled for its first beta release this December and for final release in late February 2001."
Codered II -does- write itself to disk.
If you reboot the box, it maps c: to/c and d: to/d, thus you're causing a lot more damage by shutting it down (and in turn causing it to be eventually restarted, by the same idiot who's left it up this long).
The problem is that 95% of people ARE "retarded" (they don't know enough to see what's really going on), so Microsoft actually has a pretty good business strategy going for them...
That same CD, upon coming to Canada, gets marked as an "Import" and suddenly becomes $40CDN (~$25+ USD). Add to that our amazing 15% sales tax (Ontario), and they're wondering why we choose to download music from the net, as opposed to paying OUTRAGEOUS prices for it?
I don't listen to heavy metal, (I listen to techno/rave). I -do- come home to music/irc/tv, but usually not until around 12am. The rest of the time, I'm either in school, or doing drugs.
Wouldn't it be a DVD±R[W]?

My personal favorite:
krypt@mars:~$ ping warez.dal.net
PING warez.dal.net (127.0.0.1): 56 octets data
64 octets from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.4 ms
Did you read the article?
It says the thing puts out 400lb of pressure.... you want that on your chest? Enjoy!

Not quite so easy. .RAM file, it contains a URL inside it (probably a pnm:// or rtsp://), and you will need a program that's
Once you've got the
a) capable of saving these streams, and
b) capable of re-building the index block that required to view streaming RM video offline
and there's only one that I know of that's capable of doing this: Streambox VCR
Actually, AFAIK they use Real, and yes, it has been cracked. There's a program called StreamBox VCR, it's actually illegal as Real(C) got Real(C) PissedOff(tm) about it being able to save streaming RM content to a HD.

Too late now, I just tried (I wanted to download this game before), and it's dead again.
Then your wife's never owned a Mitsubushi G310 ..

I think I understand the price tag now...

They're up to over 1 million in donations now.. with about 37,000 donations...so the average person donated $27, and that's quite impressive.
I didn't even know I had this until I went to go check. Thanks for the tip.
You'd think slashdot would at least TRY to verify the stories?

I got cable in Canada (southern ontario), $40 CDN/mo. 2mbit up/512kbit down. Static IP. They don't care if you run a host. It's very nice :)
