Lieberman wasn't a democrat since he lost the party nomination to Ned Lamont in 2006. Since then, he endorsed John McCain and voted against Obama's policies.
If Lieberman is so upset about Terrorist Content, has he seen the islamophobic drek that's rapidly growing in the US?
Last year, WordPress.com deleted a blog after CAIR complained that it contained posts that advocated burning mosques, making false bomb threats implicating Muslims, desecrating Muslim graves, and that recommended the “proper way to shoot a muslim [sic].”
Again, they're asking Wordpress to suspend the popular hate site Bare naked Islam. I love free speech, but this is one of those sites that inspires future Anders Breviks. It routinely calls to violence against American Muslims and supports desecrating mosques. “I want [Muslim] blood on my hands as a matter of principle” was one of their tamer comments I can post.
I haven't seen Jose Pimentel's blog, but I'm sure it's tamer than hate sites like these that are flourishing.
History is replete with allegations of this, including ones that persist today. Examples are the alleged Palestinians celebrating on 9/11 or the bloodied Palestinian attack victim. Is there some sort of factcheck site for these things?
Seems like a dozen people lived in the compound, and porn was found on one of the PCs there. People are hoping it's Bin Laden's, since it fits with the idea he's a bad person, and a perv on top of it. Maybe it was his son's.
I'm skeptical it's Bin Laden's. I can't find the story now, but there were recordings of Al Qaeda leaders watching Al Jazeera, and then covering over the screen whenever an "immodestly-dressed" woman anchor came on.
Between 50-90% of car accidents are in intersections. I don't worry about automated cars driving along straight desert roads, maybe Nevada isn't the best place to test this.
When China starts taking sides in the Middle East and giving one side weapons and money, then I'll complain.
Bin Laden was a creep through and through (and as a Muslim I think he worked very hard at disgracing Islam worldwide), but he did say "contrary to Bush's claim that we hate freedom. Let him tell us why we did not strike Sweden, for example." That's because Europe didn't have soldiers in Saudi Arabia and wasn't helping prop up the dictators in the region.
Now that the dictators are starting to fall in the Middle East, a new Bin Laden is far less likely to spring up...
I am a Muslim, and I'm so happy they finally nailed this creep. He's killed thousands of Americans, including many Muslims in my community who worked in lower Manhattan. 9/11 even destroyed the local mosque at the Towers.
Bin Laden was never a Muslim leader, back in the 1990s Muslim leaders spoke out against him and called for his capture, after his involvement in bombing of US embassies. Even his "spiritual leader" told the press that Bin Laden is not qualified to speak for Islam and he had no training to make rulings or give fatwas.
God's gonna judge him, and I hope He gives Bin Laden what he deserves, for the misery he's put Muslims worldwide through, and for disgracing Islam and the millions of peaceful patriotic law-abiding American Muslims.
Easy. The data is stored on a phone only I use, and is synced to a Mac only I use. If the government really wanted to figure out where I was going, they'd subpoena my credit card records and look at the previous destinations on my car GPS. I don't hear anyone complaining how Garmin stores that recent data too.
I wonder what they're using now to base the rankings. The wording of the summary is bad; Apple is not monitoring how many times people open apps etc. My guess is that it's likely how many ratings the app got in the app store and what the average rating was.
You mean if I don't synchronize my clock with the atomic clock more than every few days, it will be more than 20 seconds off?
Most wristwatches I've owned have a disclaimer in the manual that they keep time with a margin of error ±15 seconds per month. Those are the cheap Casios. I'm sure TV stations etc. have a better clock than me.
That's also an untenable position. Considering the flack that google is getting for allowing malware on Android and the problems Nokia had with viruses on their phones, they have to have some sort of quality control for apps. Also, certain countries like Germany(?) may not allow iPhones and other devices if they don't have some sort of parental restrictions or block illegal/pirate apps
Apple can never win and please everybody, especially not the/. crowd. There have been dozens of "Apple rejects X" stories ever since the App Store launched in 2008. Apple rejects the anti-gay-marriage "Manhattan Declaration" app and gets protests and boycott threats from the Right for denying free speech. Apple approves the Exodus International app (run by a church that thinks homosexuality can be cured), and gets huge petitions (90,000 signers last I saw) and complaints from the Left.
Even the slashdotters are schizophrenic over this matter. "Apple should ban 'Baby Shaker,'" or "why did Apple remove iBoobs?" Can we please be consistent?
"The Container Store" is also a trademark for a chain of, uh, container stores, although I've used containers in conversation long before it. Trying to market a knockoff chain "The Container Shop" may not work.
Actually Apple DOES warn you, via the GPS icon in the top menu bar. In Settings, you can disable Location services for any specific app and see if it's accessed your location in the last 24 hours.
Apple takes the submitted app and runs it to see if it calls any prohibited APIs. Also they check if it accesses any data without authorization, such as when Apple blocked apps from using an ad framework that took too much OS data about its users.
Of course the military wants more soldiers and money, that's the nature of the forces. However, what's at issue here is were these soldiers lying to the Congress in order to get their way?
I don't find it that difficult to believe that when Senators showed up, the military gives them a finely crafted Potemkin village of happy Afghans and maps showing the Taliban all in retreat. Anyone who watches BBC or Al Jazeera English knows that's just not the case.
What's pretty disturbing is that the government is so gullible over such a lie that's ridiculous on its face. Really, secret messages from Al Qaeda in Al Jazeera? Why not hidden messages from Al Qaeda on MTV or CNN? That would be just as plausible.
I'm still mystified by how much neocons despise the channel. No wonder Bush planned to bomb Al Jazeera, he was so quick to jump onto the false notion. Never mind that Al Qaeda hates Al Jazeera and has done so for years (AQ supporters call it "Al-Khinzeera," which means The Pig)
Sure, IF you were posting about the event, it legally isn't something actionable. According to the article, the posting was how she needs to go to the gym. That will make most people believe she posted that before the accident (if she posted it immediately after the accident and 911 she'd be a pretty sick person). I'd say she's very likely to lose this suit.
"as far as you're aware"? Do you watch Iranian TV channels? How about international news channels based in the region like Al Jazeera? Don't speak Arabic or Farsi? How about PressTV or AJE? (they both have "Watch live online" buttons)
Still No? Then it's kinda bold of you to say that it's something like zero people who articulate balanced critiques of Israeli foreign policy. Has it occurred to you that news outlets like CNN will never air such material unless it's inflammatory and "News-worthy?" Believe it or not, there are intelligent and rational people in other parts of the world who have forums, commentators, and Op-ed pages just like the US and Europe do.
Mice scare people. If you release them into a baggage claim area to check for bombs, wouldn't you start a stampede of people and all-around terror?
If I tried this at an airport with a box of mice, I'd get arrested. If the TSA or Israel's equivalent tries it, I suppose it would be legal because of their power?
(I'm half joking, I don't think they'd just release mice into a crowd without warning)

With Google+ growing so quickly, why has Diaspora seemingly stalled after like 2 years of development?

Turns out that the $1million figure given was not true. It's worth about $250,000 today, and the land was purchased for $48,000.

Sure this guy will be teaching in Tennessee real soon...

So go buy a netbook

Well if Bambuser is being blocked (and I suspect its a mix of more slashdotting and blocking), there is also Qik and Ustream
