The CRT technology is still much better than anything else. They will soon realize it and you will eventually be able to buy a laptop with a 22"CRT or even or a tablet PC with a 17"CRT screen. At least in the states... before they import that in europe.
Actually, CRTs are still best for photography, and for matching color with what you print. On some LCDs, matching to what you print is complete insanity.
I don't know people. Looks like it's been photoshopped. Notice, how word "hexus.net" is overlapping other objects. It appears just as if it was put there AFTER the picture was taken.... Any thoughts?
Seeing as the original reveiw was seen on the hexus.net website, do you think that that information might be relevant?
Which is impressive. Either the Slashdot bandwidth usage is increasing, or there must be a lot more websites running on PC Jrs than I originally suspected.
Yes, the consumers will be the ones to suffer. Oh, and of course the makers of TV shows and movies who decide to stop selling to their biggest market in a fit of temper. Could be a downer for them too.
Yes, the consumers will be the ones to suffer. Oh what, we don't have 500+ channels of digital sewage already? We'll be getting less?
So that at the News Conference in front of all the world media, with Bill at your side, you say, "Actually, I always use [Insert favorite Distro here] for actually doing work."
Actually, I am an advocate of using the earth's lunar distance as a measure of interplanetary diastance. It has the advantadge of seeming to be more intuitive. People think they know how far away the moon is. It is somewhat intuitive. After all, they see the Moon out there in the sky many nights.
We now know what part of the brain processes for this. All we need is an appropriate pill or stem cell based treatment engineered just for you.
Of course, we'll need a cure for those blessed with a double dose of the appropriate gene or mutation. This will have an interesting effect on politics. Advertising on TV, spam, and other venues could be entertaining..

I used to say that Muzak was music which had nothing wrong with it. and that is what the problem was, since while there was nothing wrong with it, there was nothing right with it either.
which is what made Muzak so horrifying.
Microsoft seems to be walking in the same direction.
If 70 million people no longer have TV, or have to shell out big bucks for a converter, they will not be pleased.
On the other hand, the loss of a market/mind control of 70 million customers/voters/sheep can only lead to the possiblility that these folks might become less dependent on mass market propaganda. And that's what really scares the "Powersd That Be" (tm).
It would be interesting if they stopped carrying the items they now have to pay for.
In fact, they could start some sort of P2P news sharing for stories, which would get around this proprietary news source. I can see the bean counters at the newspapers wanting to do something to cut costs, especially if the fee structure is predatory.
So corporate P2P news sharing actually sounds like the beginning of a decent business plan.
This photo was taken on November 14, 2000. The 60 x 60 meter swastika consisted of Larch trees in a Pine forest near the village of Zernikow (110 km Northeast of Berlin). It was only visible from the air a few weeks in the Spring and a few weeks in the Fall when Larch trees stood out in contract to the surrounding Pine trees.
These trees were planted in the 1930's by a local resident during Nazi times. They were largely forgotten until after the German reunification in 1992 when planes once again flew over the area.
Local forestry officials cut down 25 of the Larch trees after this photo appeared in several German tabloids. Swastikas are mostly outlawed in Germany.. Coins and stamps are exempt from the ban.
There is a story / urban legend of a weather man stationed by the militery in some god forsaken place in the wilds of Northern Canada. It is alledged that he had a huge amount of time of his hands, a large flat area without trees, plenty of rocks, a leftover construction bulldozer, and about 40 to 50 years to wait for a military internet connection so he could get other forms of entertainment.
Therefore, as a person with too much timne on their hands, he contrived moved the rocks, pebbles, and bolders around on the extensive flat surface. After about 6 months, he had managed to spell out a classic Anglo-Saxon Expletive Deleted viewable only from appropriate altitude in the air, which served as an appropriate warning to those arriving for duty there.
These are supposed to be fairly huge, so I wonder how long it will take for some to find them?
Indeed. But writing command line shells? *jaw hits the floor again*
You need to understand. They are trying to do for the command line whta they did for the GUI.
This might not be a good thing. And can you imagine the complexity of the syntax?
On the otherhand, maybe they are just trying to clone bash?
A match made in Heaven. Nevermind the uses in schools, stores, and indoctrination centers like national political and Amway conventions

Probably just are DDOS countermeasure in place to block excessive hits from a specific overzealous link

blame it on caffeine deficiency syndrome
All you folks with worn keys are now under arrest.

The Nasa Near Earth Object site includes this unit in their online data since newspapers used to freak out on a regular basis when they were using only decimal AU for distance measurements. A lunar distance = about 384 kilometers and 1 au = 150 million kilometers.
Thus typical distances can be rendered in LD
Current Voyager 1 & 2 Data
With apologies for rounding errors

The scans are rather large, slow, and bulky compared to actual quantum phenomena. so no apparent interaction.

Obviously, they are working on a better breed of "sheeple"

Independent thinkers
It should be pretty easy to get a high power and supremely noisy transmitter to play havock with this threat to national security.
Might even make the pringles cans go 'POOF'

Cold Lake looks like it still has some trees, but maybe

drilling the tiny holes for the elctronic probes doesn't hurt one bit
But If I wore my tin foil hat, it would be kind of counter productive ....
Wouldn't it?
