Given how small a microSD card is in comparison to the rest of the phone, there is a decent chance that the microSD card will remain intact and functional so unless they actually remove the card or take the entire phone the recording will probably survive. Maybe the police should carry radio jammers for when the public pull out their internet-connected cammeras.
I think Shadow of the Colossus is the Crysis of the PS2. Some games work better than others and the emulator can only use 2 cores. Final Fantasy 10 works better than on the PS2 because you can crank up the resolution while others don't work very well, if at all.
No OS is totally safe.
Much of the safety of linux comes from its small market share and because the people that run linux are often more security conscientious than those that run other operating systems.
I wonder, are the Mac users protected by their stupidity from fake anti-virus software. Were they thinking along the lines of a Certain XKCD comic but with Mac OS in place of liniux.
If it were opt-in then nobody would because most people probably don't know that this tracking is going on, the ones that do probably don't want to be tracked and who would actually ask company's to track everything they do without some sort of rewards scheme that directly benefits the people opting in.
