    It is also why this is called "rocket science", where literally every rocket launch is an experiment to see if the current configuration is going to work or not.

    In this case it didn't.

    I'm pretty sure they test the crap out of these so that when they actually go to launch it they can be fairly confident the configuration is going to work before they fill it with a metric fuckton of explosive fuels and millions+ dollars of equipment. Do you think when the lit the match one guy looked at the next and said "so do you think it'll work?"

    Was assuming a smaller passenger load. Then I read the article and looked up the plane type. 777-300ER, depending on configuration could have a 3 class load of 350 pax. No telling how full it was, assume 85%. Planes run pretty full these days. So doing some math...

    The fine should be given to whatever dickhead decided an obviously shady network name was enough grounds to delay a flight for several hours. You know, when you idiots run scared from every little boo the terrorists have won. Once you introduced TSA they had you on the backfoot and now this. America is shitting it's pants while the rest of the world looks on in disbelief and the actual terrorists are pissing themselves laughing.

    The image in TFA shows a phone seeing the network as an AP. Chances are someone with a phone set up AP mode (fairly standard on Android devices).

    That was my first thought. I know when I'm running my phone as a hot-spot, I have the SSID set to "FBI Surveillance Van 42".

    Mine is simply 'Virus.net'. Best I've ever seen though is 'It burns when IP'

    I kind of have a hard time feeling sorry for people who bought BF4, the pattern was there clear as day. Caveat Emptor as they say.

    Hey, when it works bf4 is completely awesome and brilliant. It's just a shame it only works about 10% of the time. But they consider the game fixed enough to add in customisation on parachutes yet the 'kin game never saves your loadouts (at least it don't on the xbone) :|

    The article is not saying that nerds are not welcoming women. But.. there are some really bad examples of women in technology being treated really badly. Look at some of the latest gaming activism against female game journalists. If you really want to look behind the surface on what happened, it is thoroughly disgusting.

    I think that's more to do with the fact the main pusher of that doesn't know shit about games and is talking out of her arse and any gamer can see it. But because her videos have some half decent production values and lots of big words everyone else eats it up. And we are all accused of sexism when we try and point it out. Yes there are some bad apples helping to prove their 'point' but that is true of everything.

    Yes, it is an insignificant figure considering they said they would get $184 million. Do the math, that's less than a quarter of what they said they would get (21.7% to be exact).

    But thank you for playing and proving my point of people's hypocrisy when it comes to something they don't like (red light cameras) and things they do like (legalizing marijuana).

    When something you don't like doesn't meet its expectation it's a complete and utter failure. When something you do like doesn't meet it's expectation it still got something.

    Look again and you'll see I never said a word about speed cameras, just that $40 million is a shit load of cash in anyone's book, or at least it should be.

    Colorado made a big deal of how much money they would take in by legalizing marijuana. They, the state, predicted they would take in $184 million in the first year and now it looks like they'll be lucky to hit $40 million.
