I'm not saying it shouldn't be renamed. I'm merely noting the 'monumental' efforts needed to update all existing documentation referring to the new Mt.Denali.
Mod Parent Down. Too much FUD. Most of the material I read on my Kindle comes from feedbooks.com. You can also convert from many other sources, including PDFs and Word Documents. You aren't limited to DRM'd books only.
This is very true. Overall, with eastern philosophy, the emphasis on the group rather than the person. Many people in China have a difficult time understanding the individualistic nature of western culture
Same here. I live in PA and even though I keep the CFL inside the garage, it is still cold enough to significantly decrease its life. Not good when you are paying a premium for the bulb anyway - I expect it to last.
Northern CA would have similar problems, and Australia has very harsh winters too.
A good example would be Call of Duty (or the like). You can read all you want, and even watch movies on the subject. But you develop a newfound understanding of what it might have been like (in a very, very, very small way) for those that were there, once you find yourself cowering behind the carcas of a dead cow, with bullets whizzing past your head. Seeing your fellow soldiers lying dead on either side of you. And you being afraid to stand up, because you know just how great the chances are that you may catch a bullet too.
Microsoft-sponsored benchmarks prove that multiple WinTel Web servers perform better than a Linux mainframe acting as a Web server consolidator.
Hmmm. Windows on Intel vs. Linux on Mainframe?
It seems as though costs associated are skewed by the cost of the hardware and hardware support. Run Windows and Linux on identical hardware. THEN compare the cost differences between the two.
Why does YAHOO! get such a bad rap from Slashdot? They run almost all of their services on FreeBSD and are a huge advocate, supporter, and patron of the FreeBSD foundation. Why does the majority of Slashdotters despise them?
Smells like the BSA. They have no legal or judicial authority, yet they sound important and brandish a Big Stick to make people believe that they have some power. While I think that this agency can do some good, they are little more than an educational institution.
Because they are multinational, they will have no power whatsoever within any single country.

Having just recently read 'Nineteen Eighty-Four', I can't help but see the parallel.
"...enable the car itself to become a connected Android device."
hmm. It's one thing for me to carry an android device around in my pocket. It's quite another to have an android carry me around in it's pocket.
http://www.mailboxapp.com/ looks promising, but for now is iOS only.

How long did THAT take?
would that make it DellHell(tm)?
Oh wait, this is /.

You can't buy a graphics card that will play Doom3 (well) for $499.
i wasn't stupid when i was 11, i was fixing TVs and my friends' game consoles.
But you still haven't been able to find the shift key on your keyboard?
How about $80 for the Commemorative Edition? Am I allowed to be that much more pissed off at Valve/Steam?
Great descriptive post concerning all of the headache that retail customers have gone through. Do I smell Class Action Lawsuit?
In other news:
Microsoft CEO Bill Gates announces today that their Windows Operating System is *really* great!
$250 is a far cry from the $100 rumors.

I think I like
"UNIX culture of explaining the Windows/UNIX programmers' Windows cultural divide"
like this article is being rammed down my throat?

"...They decipher the marketing mumbo-jumbo you'll be faced with and explain all that you need to know prior to buying a home theatre projector."
IF, unlike me, you can afford one.
