    The news is:

I've heard from people that the suit HAS affected sales. This kind of news is a shot in the arm for Linux companies. Remember linux companies fund open source.

    b) This encourages software companies to start porting their games to GNU/Linux operating system. I mean, shit maybe we can finally get good software.

    c) Creates momentum. We want momentum. We need to look like an unstoppable juggernaut that nobody can touch. Remember just about 3 years ago people thought Microsoft was an unstoppable juggernaut. It's funny how the market changes. ;)

My complaint goes equally towards South Korea as well. SK has no business interfering with the market. It's corporate welfare and we don't need it. SK tax dollars are going to a company that is neither efficient or profitable. If I was an SK citizen I would be angry to have my hard earned tax dollars mishandled this way. This is a very poor investment because as soon as SK removes it's money that company will fall over.

If you have a good product the consumers will come. If not then the market will find a way around the whole thing. There is always a cause and effect. Have faith in the greed of the market. Even other South Korean companies are not going to like it if one of their competitors edge them out. ;)

If we do this for one month, we will have the content industry to their knees. And there is NOTHING they can do. No lobbyists, no nothing. You'll probably see a massive media campaign and discounts but it's nothing compared to the pleasure of destroying an industry by doing nothing. Whatever law is on the books will be worthless. You'll probably see some major backpedaling by lawmakers too.

(then we can go after everyone who did that)

But it would take a grass-roots movement that starts at the college and high school levels. It would absolutely panic a lot of people. I'm not sure how that would be possible.
