    On a Macbook (Pro, at least) the Esc key is on the same row as the function keys. The function key row is (ostensibly) being replaced with a touch bar and a oled display. So, it seems very clear that the Esc key will simply be part of that in the appropriate modes.

    And, given it's Probably going to be right on the left hand side, it'll be easy to press by touch-typists, who just have to touch-locate the edge of that screen.

    So... why all this drama?

    Oh. Right.... Slashdot.

    Level 5 means not having any controls that a human can use. So, unless their "future upgrade" includes ripping out the steering wheel and pedals, etc, then the car is only "level 4 ready".

    Unfortunately, putting any kind of restriction on a part-15 device is exactly "sub-licensing", which you're not allowed to do.

    That it was private property is... going to be an interesting argument :)

    Are you sure about the 64-bit EFI part? From what I've read that was the delineating factor: Apple have removed the 32-bit EFI support (because it truely is a bitch to have to maintain both).

    Why would a tech site such as slashdot ever, EVER, bother with metrics such as "number of photos" or "number of movies". We know how big a Terabyte is. We don't need it spelled out in such mundane, and ambigous terms such as "number of photos".

  19. It _might_ be copyrightable because it's not, technically, "public data". But certainly Uber can deny you access to that data through the interfaces Uber provide. I.e., Uber cannot be compelled to provide you data, even if that data is public domain.

    Except you waived the right to punitive and consequential damages when you agreed to the EULA for your current product. You MIGHT get your purchase price back for the current product, but that's about it.
