Seeing as I just bought a new 19", my old 15" can now have a purpose! Well...the game looks better on 19"...and I won't be paying any attention to the non-quake screen...but it'll still be cool have 2 monitors! woohoo!

I'm seriously considering buying a dual-cpu motherboard in my next PC. The only thing is, I don't want to use Windows NT! Hardly any games run on it, and it's slowwwww. Heh...maybe if I could dual boot 98 and NT I could justify a 2-cpu gaming machine...
I hear tell of some British pipe, and possibly a Russian pipe to the 'net. They don't have to use the US service if they don't like the terms of service you know...

If I've noticed anything from my years on the internet, it is this: It is not 'cool' to be pro-american. The set of non-US netizens contains a small sub-set who love to bash the U.S. They cite foreign news sites which contradict US news as proof the US media is lying. Oh yeah, and you don't think the media/goverment combination of those countries doesn't have their own agenda? It sucks that Yugo civilians are dying, but hey, thats what you get when your dictator pisses off a large portion of the world's powerful nations. I'm so weary of people trying to paint Yugoslavia as a noble soverign state being picked on by Nato. Fuck that. People die from bombs, or they die from small arms fire (ground troops poindexter...) Either way they die. I'd prefer they die from bombs, as that means less of my fellow citizens would lose their lives for this cut-rate region who's inability to act civilized has caused much more trouble then it could ever be worth. Call me selfish...
Oh how easy it is to belittle an important issue by comparing it to a much worse one. This is Slashdot, not a CNN message board. The general topic is Geeks and Geek things. Yes Poverty is horrid, but there are plenty of places to bemoan that portion of our society. Here we talk about ourselves, and if that seems self-centered and arrogant, then well...fuck you. I'm sure there are quite a few people who act different because they want more attention for any number of reasons. And the victimhood thing? Please. Who's in need of a dose of reality? Listen in to any minority group and you will hear the tones of self-pity. I'll admit there is a fine line between solidarity and self-perpetuating victim status, but oh well...we are only human.
Well considering SCO has been arround the block a few times, you could say that SCO UNIX has both structured lab testing AND user testing.
