the last 3 or so revisions of canons product line (back to the 850 and i think maybe even the set before that) have used heads which are not available to the public. While they techinically are replaceable, you wont be able to find one anywhere. Canon even advertises it as such (as their "lifetime printhead").
How much is a secure, honest, fair election worth? 2.6 million? Thats a drop in the bucket.
Something to the effect of the vendors machines being overhauled at the expense of the vendor or removed permanently in the state seems a bit more fitting for this degree of failure.
ill give you a hint for the future. sony never makes the best products on the market. but they are almost always (more often than any other manufacturer) decent. maybe a little expensive, ie not always the best deal, but its ok. anyone who thinks sony makes the best shit out there likes to spend too much money.
in stores where the cable doesnt come in the box, its usually at the request of the retailer you are at. mass stores (walmart, target, etc) generally have cables in the box, where as consumer electronic stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) generally do not.
for those that played it, the marathon series, even through the usermods like evil had great plots. also, myth: TFL and myth 2: soulbligher had very good plots.
after pathways into darkness, bungie really stepped up the plot factor in their games.
remnants of marathon remain even in halo, which i suppose exists in the same universe. heres to hoping that the pfhor and spht return or at least make a guest appearance in halo 2.
id like to familiarize you with our solar system. you see, we have this stellar body called the sun. it can get very very intense, especially at higher altitudes where the atmosphere is thinner.
well, if you look at the new cartridges from HP, thats not far off. The 94/95 have decreased substantially in size (but not in price) from the 56/57 cartridges, which made a similar decline from the 15/45/78.
and all most of you do is bitch about how much lexmark sucks for protecting their revenue stream, while HP is giving it to you and you smile and walk away, blissfully unaware.
not to mention buying used gets you older looking discs. if they have any that are cracked/scratched beyond usability thats even better, as it lends credibility to the "i had to encode it lest i not be able to use this crappy medium anymore" defense.
but seriously, unless you buy them used, you are just adding fuel to the fire by buying from them at all.
you know why we didnt complain? most of us didnt have access.
had we had access (like during kernel development), useful feedback would have been a result. but microsoft doesnt care what we think, so they dont ask us.
for lexmark, the toner cartridges are the lifeblood of the company, so they _have_ to be able to defend their revenue stream. loss leader and all that argument.
for apple the argument is basically the same. ITMS is a significant draw, and the ipod is the only solution. white ITMS isnt exactly a loss leader, it is critical to the business plan.
oh that and both defendants (i think) are slimy companies selling to the lowest common denominator.
youre one of those people that believes in bible codes, arent you?

canon can do it, doesnt mean its designed correctly
standardizing on IE? as a web designer, id rather shoot myself in the face than be saddled with IEs "enhancements" and "features" thankyouverymuch.
whats so hard about loading a transparent PNG anyway?
im not afraid to make myself look like a bigger idiot and say i did. it was pretty cool.
perfect shaun of the dead quote:
"ill do it when you stop laughing"
ie, when people come around and see it your way itll stop. until the ratings drop, however, its all about the time slot, and the benjamins.

seriously, when are they going to realize that P2P isnt hurting anything.
this will likely be spun as "look how well our lawsuits are working, people are actually buying music again"
they are on the costo website right now, albeit with a stunningly huge 0$ discount.
with a name like farnsworth, its destiny for him to become a scientist. and invent the finglonger.
i wish i had modpoints, that definitely deserves +1, Funny

the poor neglected dreamcast in the corner would like to have a few words with you.
